Ze Wedding Present of Mr. & Mrs. Crayon

I started typing out a post all about Kiran’s wedding, I swear, but so much happened that night that it’s still not up ^_^;

Just like I’ve been busy since her wedding, I’d been super busy before it too with work and all. So I never managed to make her half trolling half cute wedding gift- until now :3

Now, for some context: Kiran had been dubbed Turquoise Crayon before I met her by the wonderful Pharoh Ayah, but everyone in our gang called her that and new it was her official nickname. So when Queenie got engaged, there was a heated debate as to what Mr. Kiran was going to be called. Would he be an Orange Crayon? A green one? A purple one??

Finally, we agreed that he shall henceforth be known as Mr. Purple Crayon.

Which is why I thought to craft this little giftie :3

I started on it Thursday, and I finished it up today~ I’m pretty happy with it, even though I didn’t like it for a while during the actual crafting project. Oh the struggles of creating art 😛

I gathered supplies when I went to get new notebooks for school- and also got a damn golden glue gun because I’m fab like that~

I knew I’d glue a purple crayon and a turquoise crayon to the front of a picture frame with a house in the back and stuff, but once I started the project I decided to give Adil a tie and then I wanted to put Queenie in a wedding dress- so this happened xD

I like the amount of sunshine in this, so excuse how it’s just a random snap 😛

WhatsApp Image 2016-08-21 at 7.33.31 PM.jpeg

She’s going to laugh so much seeing this xD And she might hate me too, but it’s okay~ If she decides to get revenge on my wedding- which she definitely will- I can’t wait to see what she comes up with ;D

Nothing says congrats on getting married like personified crayons after all ❤

Trying to Paint, Pokemon Tumblers and Crocheting..?

Tomorrow is the surprise graduation party we’re throwing for Zahra so basically today was the last day for me to finish up the present I thought up for her. I decided to try my hand at something homemade since I just haven’t in a long time, and plus I want to give it to her tomorrow and even realizing this a week ago, any etsy order would not arrive on time. Anyhoo, this painting was inspired by this (which is being sold on etsy here if anyone’s interested):

Harry Potter The Marauders Watercolor Art Poster Print - Wall Decor - Watercolor Painting - Home Decor - Kids Decor - Nursery Decor

It’s the four marauders!! I thought it looked super cool and tumblr-esque cuz of how galaxy ish it is too. I took this picture and tried to recreate it, but when I cut out Peter Pettigrew, the paper I used was too thin and didn’t block out the paint 😦 It was also the thickest cardstock I had on me, so I sort of gave up on that and tweaked the design to work for me. It’s not as good and clean as this one, but I do think it’s kinda cool in it’s own way. I hope she likes it :3 It was fun arting for two hours making it ❤

So earlier today, I went with Asma and Hadia to buy food for the bash as well as supplies for this project like a picture frame. I did pick up some cheap paints while I was at it which can later be used for some cosplay so excited about that 😀 Oh oh, and while strolling through the crafting aisles, I caught a glimpse of yarn and two things happened. One, I obviously thought of kholoud, the yarn hoarder, and two, I thought I should FINALLY get my hands on a crocheting needle and get started on that. I’ve been interested in crocheting ever since I saw it online back in AS. Now, I can actually easily get my hands on a hook AND I have the guidance of Kholoud-senpai to assist me thorough this I should actually get round to it. And I did. I bought my first hook, but I was far too much in a hurry to pick any yarn to go with it, and I wasn’t too sure what would work best for a beginner. I’m glad I waited cuz when I last asked Kholoud for some basic tips, she shed a loooot of light on all sorts of yarn I should avoid and even color preference if I want to be able to see my stitches super easily. Anyways, I’ll get some next time I’m there iA ^_^

I did look up some basic stitches and stuff on youtube and interestingly but expectedly, here’s another thing that uses a slip knot, of course xD haha, knots  ❤

(I think I’ll embed some of those videos here for future endevours maybe?)

Finally gathering all of our random wanderers, the three of us make our way to a cashier to pay and bam, Asma and I find some super cute pokemon tumblers….and we’re hooked. We took approximately like a minutes of intense thought and debate picking a tumbler design we thought was optimal and then we were REALLY ready to pay. (Ignore how most of that debate was inward and we were both just going “um er uh uh UH..!!” and “ugh ugh which..?!” aloud in actuality. At the time, it was just an impulsive buy each, but now, I’m justifying it by actually using it a bunch and finally not being as dehydrated as I normally am if I spend too many days in a row at home. (I tend to think the hassle of going down to the kitchen is too bothersome to quench my desire for paani/water.))

And with that, I’m back to catching up on Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge~! Gosh, why did I ever stop?! It’s so enjoyable ^_^

Nominated and Jammin’ Out to Bohemian Rhapsody

So today I got a very nice and official TEXT informing me that I had in fact been freakin’ nominated for being the next Head Girl of the Prefects!! Which, in my school, is the same thing as being the Student Body President (the girl one. We have two, one girl, and one guy.) EEEK!

I’m going to post the entire text now, since it’s on my cell, I may one day accidentally delete it. If only it had been an email I could star or something…

Dear Student (yup, generic little lazy head just put student so he could mass text this to all the nominees, I’m sure.),
This is to inform you that you have been nominated for the position of Head Boy/ Head Girl (see? Confirming my suspicions now…Totally lazy!) next year by the admin and current student council. Your interview is scheduled at 10.15 amon Thursday 20th March 2014 in the Auditorium. Please make a note, and confirm your availability.
Regards,
Alishan *his last name*
(Current) Head Boy

So yaaaay =D I can’t wait. So far, I know that Armeen (evil dumb blonde that I hate), and Amna/Hallam have also been nominated for the same position. I think I’ve got the greatest chances of getting the job, and that’s why I’m insanely excited. Even if I don’t get it, I hope Armeen doesn’t, and Amna does. She’d be soo much better at it than Armeen, her royal ickyness.

Plus, what with debates and other public speaking, and even active participation in drama I think I have an edge in verbal things like an interview.

The fact that I take an interest in so many other activities besides would only add to my awesomeness as Head Girl. Something that Armeen and Amna don’t really have.

But I was reaaaally concerened that they weren’t even going to consider me, since I may move this Summer, but it’s not confirmed, but looks like I needn’t have worried! Plus, there’s a chance I may also be nominated for the position of Head of the Drama Society.

When we were discussing it earlier last week, Ammar pointed at me when asked who should head it next year, and I felt so pleasantly surprised and complemented, I wanted to hug him to the point where he’d think I fancied him. (Hahahaha, no, never happening =P )

But if Kamil, by pseudo-brother, suggests Faiza for the post, I will lose all respect for him, plot his demise, and disown him. I mean, Faiza is his friend, for some retarded reason, but still, if he puts her in charge of the Drama Society, he’d basically be giving her a circus to man herself. And she can’t juggle, nor swallow fire. So the crowd won’t be amused. Ammar and Shayan are with me when I say we’d rather quit attending Theatre if Faiza becomes the head next year.

The girl is suuper self obsessed, finds and tries her hardest to steer conversation towards her, something that happened to her, something that happened to someone she knew, or something she’s done, or anyyything concerning her. She is also obsessed with trying to make it very clear to everyone how childlike she is, which irks me greatly since I’M the kid. She’s shorter than me, and is completely flat-chested, so yeah, she wins with a more child like body, but her mind is so deep in the gutter, it’s an insult to kids to say she’s childlike at all. Maybe a modern child that swears, and plays Call of Duty a lot she could compare herself to successfully…

Oh, and today Zaid and Ammar kept playing Bohemian Rhapsody, the Queens song, a lot at school, and we kept singing it all day long. It was awesome. We were jamming to it soo much =3 It was pretty cool. And then it got stuck in my head, so I had to listen to it at home too =P

Well, I better study now for that huuuge Chemistry test I’ve got on ALL of Organic Chemistry that I still haven’t touched because of the play…

A New Comic- Beelive!

Alya had these rings that spelled out ‘believe’. Each ring had  a letter on it. They didn’t fit her very well, but did fit me. I wanted to wear them and go around going “Cuz all I gotta do is -believe- in me, Pokemon!!”. She wanted to wear them too. So Mnaz comes into play, divides the ring into TWO words, so we can share. I got “bee”. She got “live”. And now, we bro fist, yelling “believe”!!

So this comic shall be named Beelive. And that is also the name of the main setting in this comic too.

Beelive Heading

Plus, this shall be my first ever comic that will be called a “manga”. Even though it is read like a comic, and it’s mostly English, this comic will be AS Japanese as possible. It’s about a Cosplay Cafe, and anime addicts/otakus. How could this not have happened?!

The comic is in a semi demented state of the future. Although there is really just a year difference between Alya and Mnaz when it comes to schooling, I’ve made it somewhere around five. Alya and Mnaz have graduated uni, and have started their careers. I’m in my final year of (Japanese!) high school.

Alya’s made it as a plastic surgeon. Mnaz is a mafia leader, who’s cover is owning a dojo and training Goku/Goko in the martial arts. (Pshaw, doctors are just too boring, so I gave her a career change.) They got where they wanted to be in life…but their dream hasn’t happened yet.

See, it’s their dream, as well as mine, to open a Cosplay Cafe together. And after working for a while, they have enough money saved up to buy the perfect location, and have everything figured out- except how we’re going to run it in the morning. Alya and Mnaz have their jobs, and I’ve got school. But if we don’t have anyone working there in the mornings, we’d miss out on the afternoon/lunch rush and lose loads of profit. So, in a bind, with short-staffed-ness, we don’t open the cafe quite yet.

Random Doodle- Beelive Trio

Untiiiiil, I find us a perfect Japanese Android that I stole from Adil, a mad scientist who works in his secret laboratory. And XJ-19, the android, handles the fort while we’re busy doing our respective stuff in the mornings.

In the afternoon, we all gather and meet at the Cafe to join in, and help out. We meet and greet our customers and generally have fun. Plus we’ve got super powers (how could we NOT?). So, I’ll be seen flying around, serving the sugar free stuff (Alya doesn’t trust me to get the sugar stuffed stuff to the tables without “taste testing” first.). Alya will be the store manager, and drool at all the pretty boys/bishounen. Mehernaz will be the one- I don’t know, I haven’t figured it out yet…

And I’m pondering kidnapping and in slaving Asmaa, Alya’s older sister, to be out chef. Mhmm.

Innocent Act

^[a random panel from the comic, what with my innocent act and all =P ]

But how do I get the rest of our crew into this comic, huh? Weeeell, I was thinking of having a high school reunion, and having it held at the Cafe! And then, everyone will just keep popping in, every now and then. Some will become regular customers, like Zaid, Shayan, and Mateena (anime addicts).

Plus, Mnaz proposes that Zaid fall in love with XJ-19. And have a nose bleed when he sees her. I’m thinking of doing that.

Aaaagh, there’s just SO much more to mention about this comic too! But I gotta go draw some sketches for the actual cafe, and for it’s lay out and all. Since the next scenes going to be there.

Anyhoo, I’ll leave the rest for another post, like Kirito and the Neighboring Rivals for some other time =P

Buuut it feels just so GRAND drawing a comic after sooo impossibly long ❤ And now I’ll actually have something to do in physics xD Huzzah to that!

Crazy, Chocolate, and Cookies,

Note- All the pictures used in this post were drawn by me, are mine, and I will sue for copying and claiming these to be yours >.> I work incredibly hard on my comics, my characters, and make loads of sketches before I’m satisfied with how they look. So don’t go stealing all that effort away from me. If you like how they look, save the pics, just don’t claim them to be yours. These characters are MINE, and these pictures from this site. If you want to use them, give credit to their creator, Ze I. Wattson. Just to set the record straight. La la la ^_^

Howdy to a lil’ Holiday DIY SnowGlobe

‘Tis the season of giving, sharing, and- why not?- MAKING!

Snow-glooobes

Wait- it’s the Winter Solstice and it ain’t snowing? And of course, it’s not the same if there are no snowflakes! But do not fret, we can change that up a bit with this simple yet gorgeous DIY I found day before yesterday, but haven’t had the time nor materials to try yet. But here goes anyways.

View the original blog I found this DIY at too, it’s pretty cool =D Plus, you can order a special kit to get all the materials to make this DIY if you want from their site too! Disclaimer- all these photos are from the original blog, Brit+Co, unless otherwise stated.

So, get down with Frosty, and create your own magical winter wonderland, complete with snow in the form of a girl’s best friend, glitter!

Snow-GLobe

I mean, just loook at that spectacular show of shimmer! #EmphasisThroughAlliteration

So let’s get started, now shall we?

Materials-
I Airtight Jar(s)
II Glitter
III A form of SuperGlue (Elfee, or UHU, or E-6000 glue.)
IV Stuff to stick on your jar- like a Christmas Bauble, or other decoration item, like a small tree, or a small figurine, etc.

w640

Step I- Unscrew your jar lid, and glue whatever you will be putting in the snow globe onto it.

w640 (1)

w640 (2)

Press down firmly to make sure it’ll dry securely. Now let it dry properly. To be on the safe side, I’d recommend you to leave it to dry overnight, or to be on the super-safe side, dry for 24 hours. If you’re super giddy to finish the project, then I guess you could shorten the wait to 4 hours, but I’m not sure how well that’d turn out.

Step II- Fill your jar with as much water as possible. Now comes the fun part- adding the glitter! As much as you like, with as many colors as you’d like. Although, you do end up with a snow globe that might have glitter clump in it every now and then. I’ve heard of this tip that’s supposed to fix that up, which is to use hot/warm water in the jar, then use glitter glue instead of glitter as it dissolves in the water more uniformly, yet I haven’t tried this out myself, so I can’t verify whether it works or not. I’ll try this out, then get back to y’all if it does or doesn’t.

w640 (3)

Step III- Shake and enjoy! Have fun making these, and I hope you liked it =D I mean, this is a cute little DIY you could do with kids as a fun little project to lift the holiday spirit, or for those who are homesick without snow this season could be cheered up a bit (I know it worked on me!), and these little guys would make awesome gifts too!

w640 (4)

Just have fun with it, and you can use loads of different stuff instead of tiny Christmas trees. I was thinking of making an Alice in Wonderland themed one myself, honestly. With a lollipop, a peppermint candy cane, and other candies, and a figurine of the Cheshire Cat. I was  thinking of making a Christmasy/Winter Solstice one with Christmas baubles, and plastic snowflake ornaments too. I can’t wait to try this out myself! And soon, I hope!

A lil’ Story about a Charles and a Miss C

So I finished Paper Towns by John Green yesterday. But thats not what thats about. thats where this BEGAN. So here we go, and only wait to see where we shall end up. Let the way my brain works fascinate and baffle you now.

So Paper Towns. Johh Green. Discussing with Shallot. But then, we start discussing book collaborations, like WIll Grayson, WIll Grayson. Where, according to ayesha, the authos collaborated in a mind-boggingly brilliant way. They both name their characters Will Grayson. Thats all with the collaboration. They then just move on and write their own stories, of two different characters, two different entities, two different minds and bodies. They just share the same name. and then the two meet.

and up til that meeting, they dont show each other their work. Their writing, their stories of their WIll Grayson so far. And so that’s what we are doing. Ayesha and I are writing a small or short story (haha, lets just SEE how short itll be with me writing half of it =P) and were collaborating like that. with just a name to know. but we did collaborate a bit more, so the stories can mesh more, and since we arent proffesional authors like the authors of Will Grayson, Will Grayson, we decided to share some information about the characters to each other. Like how one shall be a girl, the other a dude. Im writing in the point of view of the dude, obviously. and ayeshas doing the chick. and so then we’ve got the shared name, as well as the shared age (17, junior in high school.) Ah, but the name. We decided on Taylor and then i rapidfire last names (DeLucas and Rosenfield were shot down =( ) and i said Sharbatski, like Robin Sharbatski, from How I met Your Mother. Wohoo. so now weve got Taylor Sharbatski. and then i threw in one other common ground…they should have the same letter middle name, but we should give them different middle names. So we decided on the letter C. this will also make it possible for us to distinguish between our two characters. (ahem, besides the fact that they are both of different genders…)

SO my dudes named Taylor Charles Sharbatski. and hes going to be the funny main character with a serious and philosophical best friend. and hes going to have the annoying ability of being that american (gora, HAH.) boy that shall randomly and spontaneously ‘put on airs’ with the assistance of a fake british accent, wohoo!

(shallot was actually worried that i wouldnt be able to find a dude middle name that began with the letter C. I said into the phone, around 3 seconds after she said that ‘Charles’. and that is the end of that.)

So her characters Taylor C. Sharbatski, a little Miss C to me, since i dont yet know her middle name. and thats that.

Our characters will both be in the wonderful continent of the United States of America, and shall both be- i forgot. no, i SERIOUSLY forgot. .____. oh nuo.

oh wait, no i remember. this is the part where i explain how we non-proffesional writers shall be going about this collabortation. were doing a short story, remember, so its going to be 5 chapters each. with no limit as to how long each chapter can be, which works perfectly for the both of us. and then after we make it to the third chapter, we shall read each others works so that we can see the stories and life of the other Taylor C. Sharbatski. Then we shall collaborate and find a way to make the two meet some where in their lives. and then well take the story somewhere from there. yeah, well totally cross that bridge when we get there.

I suggested we have the two meet on a school trip and have them get the wrong keys to the other Taylors room. that could be fun. (haha, i can see Miss C walk in on the serious philosophical friend reading Moby Dick and just be like ‘da hell..?’ and i can TOTALLY see Charles turn around in a swivel chair, close a book he was supposedly reading (upsidedown), and say ‘ive been expecting you…’ only to have Miss C’s roomie walk in, whos a girl, duh. The look on his face when he sees a girl walk in will be hilarious. he could fall out of his chair and be like ‘thank the lord!’ in his head. Oh, if im narrating. and if we do that. la la la~)

So now i have to decide whether i want to type this out HERE or on my laptop, on MS word. thing is, i really hate MS word =/ but ill need a constant internet connection on this thing, so i  might not be able to do it as often, like when the nets down, or at school, or whatever. bleh. so lets just see.

But yeah. Writing a storyyyy, yeah!

A Trio of DIYs- Woven Headband, Braided Headband and Braided Scarf

Remember how in the beginning of the summer, i started posting DIYs here? and how i actually did those that i posted? well, here are some in hoping to try out, once i can uncover and discover any possible tees i might have lurking in the depths and darkness and alleyways of my metropolitan closet.

So this first one i found is suuuper easy and i was going to try it out today…but the T-shirt i chose to use has some stains on it! what a bummer! *pouts* so while i wait for the day it comes out of the laundry, i thought id atleast share these awesome DIYs i found ^_^

wait…howd i even find these, you ask? well, like any teenager on the web, i used my assets to my advatage. yesh, i basically did just google the word ‘DIY’. And it worked wonders =D

so i google lead me to pintrest (which i find a terrible place to find good DIYs cuz loads of people hashtag DIY then dont GIVE a DIY…they just post a snapshot of only their end product. it infuriates me to no end -.-) which somehow, miraculously, lead me to these super easy, super fun, and summer-suited, cute, must-try DIYs.

So heres the first one (its about time, frosty…)-

1. Ze Woven/Five-Strand Braided Headband

DIY Paper Bow

So i was on howaboutorange.blogspot.gr and found this super simple idea of making a paper bow, and as bow crazed as i am, i simply HAD to try it out. And its a pretty straight forward tutorial on how to make cute, pretty paper bows like these:

paper-bow-template

You can check out the original tutorial here. And as my camera sucks/is broken, ive stolen the pictures from the original blog post of HowAboutOrange =P

1. You download this here pdf file and print out the shapes onto the colored paper of your choice (it could be recycled, patterned, wrapping paper, whatever!) or print it onto plain paper, cut the pieces out and use it as a stencil. (the pdf has enough shapes to make two bows.) Now, your pieces, for ONE bow, are gonna look like this once you cut them out:

pieces

2. You take the elongated sunglasses like shape and bring the two ends to the middle, where i like to glue them together lightly. Itll look something like this:

shape-bow

3. You take the bottom bow bit, the tails of the bow, and glue that to the wings of the bow. Next, take the last little strip of paper and glue that to the paper bow to finish it all off. i like to make this little bit pop, so i glue it loosely together, so that it looks poofy and not as flat. i just like my bow like that, but its really up to you how you want the finished thing to look. All in all, its pretty easy. You just need the shapes to cut out and then its just easy gluing it all together! Heres the finished look, and im inspired that something SO SIMPLE could look so cute, elegant, and even be so much fun to make! This is an adorable idea, and i love HowAboutOrange for creating it at all ❤

DIY-paper-bow

so yeah, have fun with these little/big/huge/medium/whatever the hell  you want-sized paper bows, experiment with designs, colors, materials, anything at all! Hope you have fun making these!

Happy Crafting, y’all~

DIY Puffy Cinched Bow

Hyello all you crafting addicts! =D

picture027

Heres a tutorial i found on how to make a cute versatile bow than can be pinned onto purses, spruce up old looking bags, glued onto plain ballet flats/sandals/flip flops/shoes/whatever, brooched onto a shirt/skirt, clipped into your hair, put on a hat…honestly, it can go on just about anything, as all beautiful bows can ❤

picture026

So i originally followed this tutorial: http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/easy-fabric-bows/instructions/1 but found it a little hard to follow, and basically dumped it and did my own stitching thing, that ill be explaining here. ^id still recommend you to go check that out for the pictures atleast though =P or dont, im copy pasting the pictures here. =D

1. Cut out a huge, long rectangle piece. this is gonna be your bow(duh) and itll be about 1/4 or 1/3 of this actual cut out. keep that in mind when you size it. (since it can be literlly any size you want. make it more squarish if you want the wings of the bow to poof a lot more and look more squished n’ cinched.)

2. Fold the piece as indicated below, along its longest side (if that makes sense…)

1-4_large

3. Stitch the two loose ends closed here, here and here (the red crosses).

1-4_large - Copy

Just make sure youre only stitching these two ends of the piece together, and not accidentally catching the other flat part of the piece. I find it easiest to stitch the outside two red crosses as they help hold everything together, but if your in a hurry or lacking string, the job can get done with only one red crossy stitch done in the centre =) Once finished, youll have a cylinder shape if done correctly.

4.  Now, fold as indicated below, bringing the outside ends together, meeting at the centre line (green).

1-4_large - Copy - Copy its gonna then end up looking something like this:

1-5_large if your bow material is silk or soft or something thats wrinkled, id recommend ironing the bow at this point.

5. The next step is a little confusing as this is where we’ll be cinching up the bow to give it that poofy puffy affect.  Cinch it up where the two flaps youve just folded from the previous step meet. Now, i like to take my needle, and make a running stitch, but not pull the needle through. er, sorta like…. im gathering the material only on the needle. this way, if im not happy with the cinching, or think the bows gone wonky, i can pull the needle out and try it again, as many times as i want (i can get quite picky =) ) and then, finally satisfied, i quickly tug on the needle so the cinching stays the same, but the bow is now resting on the bottom of the string (thats obviously knotted at the end, as im sewing with it =P ). Make sure that youre needle is catching ALL the material of the bow, and not just he back half.

1-5_large

6. Now youre bows got its wings and looks all nice and puffy =) good, were almost done, yaaay! =D i like to finish off by immediately after having pushed the bow to the bottom of the string, wrap the string around the middle to secuire it more, and then knot it off. feel free to wrap around as much of the string you have left, even if its a lot. Well be cover that up anyways. This is what youll end up with:

1-6_large although this is what mine looks like without covering up the stitching, as i think the unfinished look also looks cool:

picture030

7. Now, youll need to cut a smaller rectangular piece thatll go around the middle of the bow and cover up your stitching. (You can bead this middle bit, or glue on  some glitter to give youre bow a cute little glitter accent. sadly, i didnt have time to do that so i dont have pics of any of those ideas…id highly recommend trying them though! =) Now, um, i got lazy with this last step and didnt even bother stitching the last middle bit on. i just tied it, then trimmed the extra tailes sticking out at the ends. not sure you can see it too well in this picture, but thats what ive done. i then passed a safety pin into the knot to turn it into a brooch.

picture028

Hope you enjoyed it! I made a bigger one and but it on a headband =)

What i love about this is that its fun, easy, quick, simple, cute, versatile, and can be used in so many ways! Just have fun with it =D

Good luck~
