Haikyuu! season 2 (and God Eater)

As I pulled up the season final for Haikyuu! season 2, I stumbled across an announcement thing in the most recent anime uploads for the anime site I was using which instantly caught my eye because it was the last (13th) episode of God Eater!!

Now, God Eater was an anime from the Summer of 2015 that was based off the game God Eater Burst I think and the first anime I decided to watch based off a video game. And I totally looooved it. However, there were issues releasing the episodes on time, and after many delays, the 8th episode was the last one for quite the while because they postponed the series until the Winter season that year. Or so they said.

It was then completely unheard of until just now, for me at least, and now I see on this site that they’ve been uploading the last few episodes in the last few weeks of March 2016 and the last episode came out yesterday. Well, I’ll probably watch that this weekend or something, but now, back to Haikyuu!

[Spoiler Alert!]

OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOOOOSHHHH

So much hype and build up! And there wasn’t even a proper match in this ep! They wrapped up Seijoh’s loss super well and I felt kinda bad for Kindaichi, but then his teammate told Kageyama how they wouldn’t lose next time and it was the start of a super serious rivalry once more. On both sides ❤

Then there was Oikawa. You know how I hate Stupid Royal Ass most of the times during matches against Karasuna even though most of the times I like him but I just get annoyed when he’s against them? Well, this is the one time I was suuuuper loving and happy with him! When? When he told the even holier than Oikawa (this statement is equivalent to saying with a bigger ego than Seto Kaiba. Yuh-huh, I went there.) Japan from Shiratorizawa (you know, strong-jawed, “concrete can’t bear fruit” guy.) how he better not have all his attention focused on him, because otherwise he might get stabbed where he least expects it. By Oikawa’s “kawaii kohai” Tobio (ew, that’s so weird to even type). Oikawa even had a special edition of Hinata’s rape face going on and it was one of the best things ever in this episode. Creepier than even Hinata when he makes that face, yes, but epic nonetheless.

Then there was the actual build up towards the finals. The school congrats, even the little tv announcement, it was all adorable ❤ (Hah, stupid newscasters! You can’t focus on bloody Oikawa and his preferences for girls and chocolate now can you since he LOST!! Muahahaha!)

I also loved Hinata’s little speech of “It doesn’t matter” because they’ll win anyways after Ukai-sensei tried to prepare them the night before the match. It was worth it. I honestly died a little with the end credit scene as well because it reminded me so much of Japan in the one episode where Hinata and Kageyama scouted the competition with Shiratorizawa. That’s why when Hinata and Kageyama stepped up-  Japan recognized them, of course (one does not simply forget when Hinata jumps two feet above your head and steals your volleyball. Promptly afterwards which he threatens you with his rape face of terror.); called them out by name, and the entire Karasuna team was like what the eff is happening?! – and said how he was going to prove that talent can grow from concrete and how he’s going to show him by defeating him.

(Japan also said the line “Let’s meet on the court” and I couldn’t help but think “pfft, not unless you go to the bathroom first and see Hinata a mess of nerves and lose all the current respect you have for him.”)

I had to resist so much to not put a thousand spoilers onto my snapchat story of the show because I do know at least one of my friends on it is behind BY CHOICE, the fool. Ugh, that moment Kageyama and Hinata read the sheet that announced tomorrow’s match- “The Japanese National High School Volleyball Tournament Miyagi Prefecture Qualifiers (Boys) Finals Shiratorizawa vs. Karasuna” I diiiieeeeed with squeals and eeeeps of excitement as I usually do.

Time for this flock of crows to tear apart an eagle as Oikawa said very fittingly~

UGH so much perfect build up but now we have to wait until Autumn 2016 for season 3!! Aaaaaaaah come soon ❤ ❤ ❤

One Punch Man: I called it!

After watching the final episode of One Punch Man, I said that there needed to be at least something to tie up the loose ends left from the final.

Guess what I found uploaded to my anime site approximately 24 minutes ago?!

A One Punch Man special. Which I am loading up and about to watch so pardon me~

I’m….not sure what I just watched. Like, I don’t know what their doing with these specials at all…

[Spoiler Alert!]

I just saw the first episode and it was only 12 minutes long and kinda gave you a behind the scenes of Genos’ investigation with Saitama after he asked to be taken on as his disciple for the first time, but before he actually visited Saitama’s apartment to do so (day five of his investigation, apparently).

And even though I loved the story of the french fry thief, I hope there’s more to these specials than just funny extra details and anecdotes from episodes and scenes in the show. Don’t drag it on without telling us there’s going to be a second season…

I hope this doesn’t turn out to be a major fail and disappointment like the No Game No Life specials…I mean, I couldn’t even finish them. They were THAT bad.

Ze One Punch Man Ending

I know I’m a few days late (my pll binge is a total obsession),

but I just finished One Punch Man!

But before I get to the actual final episode I just saw, there’s the anime in general to discuss. Like it’s totally unique art style.

There’s Saitama, the simple guy with apparently two faces?

And then Genos, the cyborg most commonly mistaken to be stronger than Saitama. HAH.

There’s a reason Genos spent so much time trying to convince Saitama to be his shishou.

THAT LINE THOUGH. When in the after credit scene (yes, there is indeed one. Go watch it now. Spoiler Alert!) Genos answere’s the useless monster’s question of who’s there with “The Strongest Man in the world…and his disciple.” I was dying. It was such a great moment!

BUT THE ENDING- UGGGGHHHH.

Why did it have to be so so….inconclusive? Saitama isn’t given credit for saving the world (again), defeating the Dominator of the Universe, or ranked S-class even! At least there are a few people that have acknowledged his strength throughout the show…But it’s still not enough :Y

(I mean, even when City whatever was almost completely destroyed by that sea creature king, and Saitama was the one to defeat and save everyone, he didn’t take any of the credit. Hell, he made sure the public saw him as a cheat of a hero since he wanted the other heroes who fought so hard and were defeated so easily to have been taken seriously since he defeated the beast, naturally, with only one punch.)

Then there’s the Genos thing. Some other S-rank robot guy told him that Metal Knight was his “enemy”. Upon hearing that, I instantly thought of how Genos is hunting down the cyborg that went rogue and plundered his home and terminated his family. But they didn’t address it, even when Metal Knight showed up late to the party!

Then there’s the cases of the other S-class heroes. I wanna know more about theeeem! I wanna know about Metal Knight, Child Emperor, and especiallyyyy Mr. Metal Bat Thug. (When stupid rank 1 of the A-class heroes shows up at the end from his drama shoot, (shoot indeed -.- ) he really shines as a wonderful character to me.) We still haven’t seen rank 1. Rank 2, Tornado, hasn’t acknowledged Saitama yet. BRAT, how dare you. Even though once you do, you’ll be kinda cool. So do it alreeeaadyyy!

Pfffff, they better give this an OVA or a special to tie up these loose ends. I mean, I’d love there to be a second season, and there’s definitely enough hype and popularity for there to be one, but I don’t want the series to get messed up with a not-so-great second season if they can finish things up well in some episodes less than that. Time to go on the look out for information on any of this! Maybe manga reading time if not…?4

Clearly, there aren’t a lot of seinen anime I watch, but I bothered to try and stick to this because I loved it ❤

Anyhoo, it’s time I say night and get in bed. (I say that as though I’m not already typing this while sitting in it.)
