MovieReview (but not really): Suicide Squad

After a lot of rescheduling, Zahra and I finally went to watch this movie as late as today xD

It was pretty good for a chill person that just wanted to watch a super hero movie. In all honesty, it was pretty true to what most people said about it- how it was a disappointment. I mean, The Joker didn’t get anyyyy screen time. He also wasn’t the REAL Joker to me cuz he was so in love with Harley Quinn and that is NOT what the real Joker was. Otherwise, Harley Quinn was surprisingly my favourite character. She was funny and totally crazy. She was amusing.

HOWEVER, WILL SMITH THOUGH. Like, I don’t at all know anything about this Deadshot character, but damn, the movie totally was focused more on him than any other character. Including the Enchantress. I feel like they could’ve done more with the conflict and developed it more, but naaah.

Again, it’s not a bad movie, but it totally isn’t a good super hero one either. It’s worth a watch if you’re okay with treating these characters as not the real Joker etc., but otherwise, it’s not worth a second watch. Meh.

Zahra and I had fun though, so all’s good :3

One Punch Man: I called it!

After watching the final episode of One Punch Man, I said that there needed to be at least something to tie up the loose ends left from the final.

Guess what I found uploaded to my anime site approximately 24 minutes ago?!

A One Punch Man special. Which I am loading up and about to watch so pardon me~

***

I’m….not sure what I just watched. Like, I don’t know what their doing with these specials at all…

[Spoiler Alert!]

I just saw the first episode and it was only 12 minutes long and kinda gave you a behind the scenes of Genos’ investigation with Saitama after he asked to be taken on as his disciple for the first time, but before he actually visited Saitama’s apartment to do so (day five of his investigation, apparently).

And even though I loved the story of the french fry thief, I hope there’s more to these specials than just funny extra details and anecdotes from episodes and scenes in the show. Don’t drag it on without telling us there’s going to be a second season…

I hope this doesn’t turn out to be a major fail and disappointment like the No Game No Life specials…I mean, I couldn’t even finish them. They were THAT bad.

The Book was SO much better than the Movie

‘I believe that each reader creates his own film inside his head, gives faces to the characters, constructs every scene, hears the voices, smells the smells. And that is why, whenever a reader goes to see a film based on a novel that he likes, he leaves feeling disappointed, saying: “the book is so much better than the film.”‘
-Paul Coelho

Words of Wisedom. And the BEST way to explain away my feelings of disappointment when the movie isnt nearly as good as the book.

Elequent as hell. cuz i would ramble on forever trying to explain away the books superiority over the movie…

This Coelho guy gets it. and yesh, i dont know who he is..google! wait, isnt he an author? *wikipedia page loaded* oh, so hes a lyricist AND a novelist. cool. Check his wikipedia out incase you dont know who he is either (i cant be the only one out there!).
