Mall Shopping Spree with Rubab: Vlogging Adventure

Remember how when Rubab first landed in America a few weeks ago in the middle of Ramadan, she invited me out to an outlet mall in the city to go shopping? Well, we decided that wasn’t enough time for us to hang out, so I invited her over to my place so I could drive her out to the mall nearby today.

After a looot of negotiating, we finally set up our plan to meet up at the mall and to hang out there until we were ready to come back to my place. (I was hoping to get some pokemon go catching in there too, but I didn’t manage to 😦 )

Sooo I drove out the van there and we met up. We did loads of shopping in H&M, Charlotte Russe, Charming Charlie, and visited some others like Forever 21, and Books a Million too.

Rubab didn’t do that much shopping, because she thought she wouldn’t wear cool stuff like dresses in Pakistan much -___- boring. She did most of her shopping for gifts for other people. And speaking of gifts for people back home, she had promised she would vlog us hanging out at the mall, so that’s exactly what we did. And I have to say, it was really fun! I got the footage from her once she’d left, and it was really fun to watch us goofing off on camera xD The only problem of listening to yourself recorded is having to hear your own voice, ew. But anyways, I realized I totally had enough confidence to vlog in public and it was a really enjoyable thing to do~ I’m glad I tried it out.

Besides that, the family at home needed the van to go to a BBQ, so I dragged Rubab home and we chilled out here, recording a haul video and also experimenting with some buys such as my eyeshadow palette and Rubab’s hair doughnut. Mid make up tutorial however, Rubab’s ride showed up and we had to say bye. Again. Ugh, good byes stiiiiink. I just really hope I get to fly back soon to visit. I miss my friends ❤

A Quest at the Mall

This all happened yesterday, but I was too sleepy to type this entire story out.

My mom needed to buy my cousin a birthday present, so I tagged along. That’s literally how this story starts. I was just bored at home, and felt like going outside. (I know, how crazy of me, right?)

This turned into a quest very quickly, as soon as we climbed onto the escalators. See, my mom got onto it, but these two aunties managed to get between us, and so I was behind them. So it’s my mom, then them- a granny, a mother, and a little kid- and then finally me.

The kid is like on drugs or something- he was insanely hyper!- and had obviously just had over a spoonful of sugar, and was jitterbugging around, jumping up and down, constantly in motion. Then, he falls, drags Mama down with them, down a few steps to where I was standing, and dammit, I got stabbed in the ankle by that evil auntie’s heel!! I got stabbed in the ankle by an auntie’s heels!! I was also pushed, cuz damn she had some momentum going for her, and nearly slipped down the escalator (it was going up.) but since I’d gripped the railing thingie just in time, I was safe. After we got off the escalator, I gave them at least a 7 meter radius, and walked around them to my mom. That auntie was evil =/

No joke, after the kid did all that, I was expecting at least an ‘I’m sorry”, SOME form of an apology, but no, she just scolded him playfully, with the most lyrical fake voice ever, to make it sound like she was the best mother ever, scolding her kid for misbehaving, right in public, cheers to her for being so reasonably disciplined, and all that. I mean, you could HEAR the smugness in her voice, like she was thrilled to be in the spotlight- her time to shine. Bleh, desperate for attention. Another thing- who goes, just for the heck of it, shopping in heels? If your out with friends, or it’s a date, and you want to look nice for and to impress the people you are going with fine, but if you’re going with your son that’s barely capable of putting one foot in front of the other- wait, that more aptly describes his clumsiness, not his age…since he wasn’t that young. Son that’s around six or seven? and your mother, who obviously doesn’t care about what color she’s wearing so long as it’s all warm? Are the heels really necessary then?

And then, on our way up to this store Breakout, I noticed for the first time ever who was at the mall. Usually, I just notice if there are a lot of people or not. I don’t bother to specify and notice- hey, there are loads of old people today, or something of that sort. But today I did, and there were waaayy too many kids for comfort.

And in Breakout, bam!, it’s full of little kids! It was terrible, I was trying reaaally hard to avoid them.

Oh, and don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate kids. Well, I don’t particularly like them either…I guess it’s like people, if I like them I do, but that doesn’t mean I like all those of that age group…something like that? It depends which kid, and I’ll give you an opinion. I might love one, hate another, and just find the other three boring. But otherwise, I don’t dislike all kids in general. Kind of neutral about it? But I do have a general they-should-get-lost-ew-why-are-they-here?! attitude towards most kids HERE. That’s cuz parents let them do whatever the SHIT they want to do. And this story will explain what I mean. Since I don’t just mean that the parents will toss them their iPhones and give them their own by the age of five, I mean- well, you’ll get it soon enough.

So I’m standing towards a corner of the store featuring the guys’ stuff, cuz I was helping my mom pick something out for my brother. We finally decided on this hoodie that was stripped. But we were arguing on the color. They had this blue an green stripped one, and a navy blue and yellow one. I found the yellow one cooler, and I think my Que has waaayy too much blue and green in his wardrobe as it is. But, as we stand there debating it out, there’s this mannequin right next to me. And this little girl trying to climb it. Yes, she was in fact trying to CLIMB it. And her dad’s like right there, and he doesn’t even bat an eye, until she along with the mannequin come tuuumbling down, and she just wriggles away, jumping towards the next closest mannequin, and tries to get to the top of that one. The mannequin, explodes into an assortment of limbs on impact with the ground, right next to where I’m standing, and I narrowly avoid being impaled with a pink plastic arm.

See? Forget parenting, there’s no CONTROL over these kids here, and by the time they get to something like five, they will be untamable BEASTS. Fear them, and run. That’s the best advise I can give. When forced in their company, be wary, very very wary. But don’t flinch or show any indication of anything other than happiness and rainbows- they smell fear!

And that was my adventure at the mall. Them kids were out to get me O.o

Shopaholic on a Sunday

So yeah. i went to the mall today. at like, 11.30am. with hadia and my dad. and i did some shopping. and i almost did an insaaanely amount of shopping too. but Daddykins was like, no, you dont NEED that. (i tried getting a pretty cheetah printed dog collar for my cat, but alas, it did not happen =( d’aww…)

I still managed more shopping than i intended to =P i mean, i just got some moolah from my uncle cuz of my brilliant O-level result, and my dad finally went and got it out of his bank account and gave it to me.

So…this is Ze, and this is my haul =D
(lydia from lizzie bennet diaries of youtube. go google it now. the best modern adaptation of a classic book i have EVERRR seen. i havent even finished it yet since the ban…oh well. im just lazy. but seriously, go check it out.)

Now, i just realized that for a Haul thingie, i should just put pictures of the tees i got….so excuse me while i go take some wonderful webcam photos with this ginormous laptop. LA LA LA…

phew, finally done! annoyingly enough someone set the camera to video mode, so i had to take the pictures over. which sucks for two reasons, one, i lost loads of time doing it, and i hate redoing stuff. and two, i took some very epic pics i was proud of =( oh well…these will simply have to do.

So heres the first shirt, a very summery, flowy, soft and pretty shirt. im thinking it’d even look cool if i wore a super tight full-sleeved beige or maybe black shirt underneath. Thatd look cool with those flowy sleeves. (cuz summers ending, and i got a new shirt, so i obviously want to wear it. and hence, the layers make it possible to wear in winter, yay! =3)

^i got this from Break Out, and i totally ADORE that store. i love the bright colors, and super peace-y and epicly gangster-ish clothes theyve got. And, needless to say, that goes wonderfully well with my very hippie and neon wardrobe ^_^

while i was snapping pics, i also took a few (as in two, duh.) shots of my room. just cuz. so yeah. heres one now, this is my super messy bookshelf. See how in the top shelf to the right, there are two (very precious) books of mine, sorta falling out? well, thats cuz underneath them (yeah, ive totally run out of space. =( im trying to get my parents to get me another bookshelf, but theyre like, theres no space in your room…ill make space for mah books, so pleeeeaase! >.< ) And that underneath book is HP and the Order of the Phoenix which is, and should be, totally shocking cuz its the harry potter book i hated the MOST as a kid. oh well. still rereading it. and that i havent everrr done either. hm =P oh, and infront of that is where i keep two stacks of jewelry boxes, but until i finish that book, and it goes back to its usual place, its staying a mess and yup, staying haphazardly like the rest of everything in my room.

aaaand now for the final and totally EPIC tee i got- a BATMAN ONE~! yaaaay~! finaaaallyyyyy! since im overly obsessed with batman, and am batman, its perfect ❤ especially since its neon and got sequins on it too =3 so totally me~ and obviously no one would suspect Batman to wear his own merchandise, hence my secret identity shall still be secret. Muahahahaha. All is going according to plan…(according to plaaaaaaan~! oh come on, from the Corpse Bride? the song sung by the parents? yeah. that.)

picture045 < i got this splash of neon epicness from Outfitters, by the way.

picture046

and now for the close up of the super sequin batman logo~

picture047

aaaand now for another random snapshot of my room- my closet! or, to be much more precise, my closet handle! But, oh, why would you talk a picture of your closet handle? Is it a cool carved griffin? Or perhaps the head of a hydra? naw, man. but it is coolio. Cuz its got a tie on it. i kid you not. see for yourself.

picture044

yeaaah, i know i did a super bad job tying this tie- but, in my defense, this tie is silk and soft, and super hard to tie properly cuz of it! so justified wonkyness. [i stole this particular tie from my dad, and it doesnt go with any of my own clothes, so i made my closet cool like this. Cuz ties are cool. as are bowties. (Dr.who anyone?)] But i really do need to get a neon green or pink or blue tie now….

so yeeessh, that was my haul. i know, still not as much shopping as id like to have done…next time, i shall go get a pair of adorable skinny jeans that were white with a cool block print kinda motif repeated all over it. There were two pink roses (one big, one small) and underneath the roses, i think, cuz i dont recall completely, was a yellow paisley design. so cute! plus, ive been meaning to get a pair of patterned jeans recently and white ones. so its a win win! plus they were on sale :O

as were the two shirts i got ^_^ even if im a shopaholic and i looove getting loads of clothes, i still do it economically =P so yeaaah.

thats about all. now i think i shall finally post a ramble post…but ive got nothing to ramble about at the moment (*gasp* reaaally??) so…oh wait, i know! i was rereading some older posts last night and-interrrupted by a phone call from ayesha…she just got back from an out of town debate without me =( but reasons why i didnt go in another separate post ^_^ -and it had a short random fun tidbit that i was supposed to post. an anecdote, kind of. so yeah, thats whats coming next. gosh, ive got nothing to do today =/

Peace!
