Working!!

…I started another anime ^_^;

Who knew I’d ever end that sentence with such an emoji…

Anyhoo, I sorta felt like watching a random slice of life sort of anime, and then I remembered that Working!! had gotten a third season this Summer, so I took a look at it from the beginning.

And that’s how I kinda saw all of the first season and half of the second. Ehehe… (At least each season is only single cour!)

There’s not a single normal character working in this cute story set in a family restaurant. Add in love triangles, “ideal family” relationships (and the lack of them), and all the quirks you get an entertaining little anime that makes you smile if not laugh :3

Taneshima speaks to me with her constant struggle for not looking her age and being so short. YOU ARE NOT ALONE, POPURA!! But even I’m not that short, so…it does make me feel a little better to know I’d probably tower over her if were were able to compare heights :’D

Takanashi, not gonna lie, kinda creeped me out when he was first introduced. He just acted incredibly shady around poor Taneshima and I was like- “ruuuuun! This loony’s about to kidnap you!!”But he didn’t. Thank gosh.

AH!

I reeeeaaally wanna talk about this one character though- lookie in the first picture. You see how there’s that one dark haired girl way in the back? With glasses? Look, she’s there- I swear. Yeah, her.

The anime shows her interacting with the customers in background shots, and working her normal waitress job all the time, but they not once introduce you to her until the absolute freaking LAST episode of season 1! Aaargh, talk about infuriating!! They introduce all the workers and focus on their interactions so it was rather strange that they never really show you her until then. She also apparently keeps her distance from all the other workers because she thinks they’ll “taint” her normalcy xD The funny part is, one, she’s not wrong, and two, she isn’t normal either! But she’s convinced she is. Oh well.

Then there’s this gem.

Satou-kun, you are the bomb. So you can get a lot from this picture even xD He’s super cool and nice, but he also bullies Takeshima whenever Yachiyo (the one with the katana) puts him in a bad mood by gushing over Kyouko. Now, why would he care? Because love triangle. Duh. Satou fancies Yachiyo, but Yachiyo fancies Kyouko. And Kyouko…her heart, much like her stomach, is filled with food and only food.

But oh my gosh, can’t Satou please get with Yachiyo?! The poor bloke totally deserves it by now!

There’s so much more to ramble on about. I’m a little curious about Yamada’s actual story- like, not how she’s very pathetically lying about having run away from home. But her determination to find her own ideal family is insane, especially since she keeps attacking Otoo-san to bring her back adoption papers so she can be his kid xD

And Souma! He’s like one of my favourite characters. Seriously, he’s up there with Satou. He’s so evil, but he is so cordial and polite, it’s terrifying! He seems like he’d be friendly, but just as Takanashi learned, all it takes is half a conversation for one to truly realize how diabolical this guy really is. Inspirational ❤ Just kidding! But I do love to see it so much :3

Inami orginally really repulsed me and irked me SO MUCH. But she’s sorta alright now. I think. Meh. But you know which characters till are very ugh-inducing? Takanashi’s family -___- Well, everyone except Nazuna. Though we all know she’s about to grow up to be the evilest of them all, just as Takanashi envisioned.

And Takanashi cross dressed xD Oh my gosh, that’s hilarious!

Okay, that’s about it on this 😀 Imma go back to finishing season two. Then maybe I’ll continue Akagami no Shiryuki-hime? I’m not sure about that…but it’s getting a second season this Winter! Ugh, what to do, what to do? Then there’s Gate too…

Meh, one thing at a time, for now! So, back to Working!! season II :3

Summer Anime Season- Start!

The new Summer anime are coming out this week~

And Alya’s already picked out a greaat Thursday anime (we finally have one :’) ) called Glasslip. It’s adorable, and it’s a simple slice of life anime too. So refreshing after (mostly dark) stuff like Black Bullet, No Game No Life, and Brynhildr in Darkness, etc.

Glasslip

Now, I have to mention other anime too, before I move on to critique it properly, which I’ll probably do tomorrow. I’m lazyyy now ^_^;

Liiike, how I actually found us this anime, but it soo isn’t my cup of tea. Gore. Blood. Icky gruesome killing scenes. Scary eyes. Aaaand weird sexual pleasures out of killing people. O.o God help meh D: It’s Tokyo Ghoul, and I heard it’s story was amazing, so I told Alya to check it out. She watched it before I did, and fell in love with it. She’s gotten another one of her friends to watch it with her, so I don’t have to unless I really can stand tolerate it for that long. It’s thirteen episodes, so…maybe?

Tokyo Ghoul

Theeen there’s the one I’m reaaally looking forward to for Monday! Akame ga Kill! The one with the epic combinations of voice actors that I heard about in the end of May. I posted about it already, so links to the list of it’s cast as well as the summary of the story is available there~

Akame ga Kill

A cover form the manga, but you see the characters split up like this~

And that’s all for now!

So, to sum up my Anime weekly so far, it’s
Monday- Dragonar Academy, Akame ga Kill.
Tuesday- Nothing so far.
Wednesday- HxH(the next arc started ❤ ), Glasslip.
Thursday- Tokyo Ghoul (maybe?).
Friday- Nothing so far.
Saturday- Mahouka (koukou no Rettousei), Rail Wars, SAO II.
Sunday- Haikyuu.

I think. The anime calender site I use is telling me they come out on different days, but my anime site had them uploaded according to this, to the best of my time maths 😛

Weeell, whatever. I’m going to go watch some TV before going to sleep now. Phew, I’m beat!

Free! the Anime

So I started  a sportsy anime, Haikyuu. A show all about this super short kid that wants to play volleyball and be the very best that no one ever was as an Ace (a position that usually requires loads of height). And the constant talk of believing in yourself, and hilarity, and just typical school closeness, with super sappy lines had me!

Epic Fanart. But they messed up the numbers on the shirts =Y

I missed anime like that so MUCH. I think the last sports anime I’ve ever seen was…I can’t even recall! That’s how long it’s been. And I fell head over heals for this genre then.

But this anime is still ongoing! And I wanted to binge watch an epic sports anime.  NOW.

So I opened up a new tab, and did some searching. I came across Korouko no Basket, and a few others. (Watched the first ep, but I got hooked on something else after Alya told me I was on the look for sport anime.)

I started watching Free!, and anime all about swimming. It’s super short, complete, and only has twelve episodes, half the normal amount of episodes most anime have. It was awesome though! I seriouslyyy loooved it~!

I actually reaaally liked it! It was adorable, and in such a short time, I did manage to bond with a bunch of the characters! That’s no easy feat with just twelve episodes, ya know 😉

But, my fave characters have got to be Haru/Nanase, Rin, and Nagisaaaaa~

Nagisa’s awesome, fun, bright, and just generally happy. Haru, you come to love. And Rin- looks so damn cool, right?- but his creepy shark fangs look a bit frightening, especially paired with those red eyes…

More pictures~!

Why is Rei randomly just THERE in the background..?

This picture ❤

Kinda Cute Chibis!

Although I watched the first eleven episodes in two days, I didn’t watch the last one til last night. (After three ish days.) But I loved it’s ending, and it ended with THIS picture;

READ THAT ENGLISH LINE. READ IT.

See you next Summer!

Which means there was the initial intention to make a second season!! So I did some more googling, and what to I find? THIS!

Dat Blue Two.

A confimation on it’s release- this JULY ❤ (I found out here.)

Yay :3 I can’t wait now!

Giving Toradora Another Shot

HeadStructureToradoraPic3

Remember how when I was sick one night, I did a few things for apparently no particular reason? Yeah, well, I did two things that night related to anime.

One, I started watching Bleach. I just did, I don’t know why, Brian the Brain said to =/ So I just…did. Plus, after hearing the opening song, I liked it, and just actually watched the entire first episode.

Two, I rewatched Toradora. I’ve already seen it once, and some of it’s second season, but I really hated it. It was waaay back, in eighth grade, when I started watching loads of anime. So I rewatched it, just like that.

22125

But now, if I think back on it, maybe there was reason behind my doing so, only I didn’t notice until I thought about it later. Or rather, I’m finding or trying to come up with reasonable excuses/reasons to have watched it again if I didn’t like it in the first place.

The first time I watched it, I found the animation reaaally cute. And I loved the Pre-Prada theme song =P Buuut after I finished the entire first season, and had seen a few episodes of the next one, I realized why I wasn’t enjoying it much. I was still just waiting for something exciting and unexpected to happen, something unnatural to happen. Something fantastical, something magical, and I knew then that I wasn’t going to get that from this anime, since it’s a completely different genre. That’s when I realized there was no point in wasting my time on something I wasn’t enjoying, and what I was waiting to happen never would. So I dropped it, moved on to more magical and fantasy anime.

Toradora

And now I came back to it. It’s supposed to be a romantic comedy, with a bit of drama…and I was up to giving it another go. Not thrilled about it, but willing to try it again. I wanted to see if my tastes had changed, or if maybe some level of maturity had taken place from the me now and the me in eighth grade who couldn’t stand it.

And I did stand it. I watched the entire first season. It’s alright. I’m not in love with the show, but it’s much more tolerable, sometimes amazing, and not nearly as bad as I remembered it. It’s alright, and I’m glad I gave it another chance.

Guess I haven’t just changed as a person from back then, but now I’ve apparently changed somewhat in my taste for anime too?

Nah, I guess I’m just more tolerable towards these kinda slow romantic animes now. Before, I couldn’t stand it.

Huh. Guess change just does happen. But no one says that changing is the same thing as growing up, cuz I know THAT ain’t happening for quite a whiiiile~!

And now, just to prove my point, I am going back to watching Beyblade ❤
