Ze Birthday Song Tradition and a Sorta Compilation

Ayesha and I have some very many straaaange traditions. And we have this Weird Birthday Song Tradition.

As the tradition goes, each of us tries to find a new, strange, wacky, crazy, insane, or just gag inducing birthday song for the other to sing at the other’s birthday. If I recall correctly, we started this off in O-II, maybe O-I or AS, but I found a strange, ancient BBC birthday song that went a little like this:

Happy birthday to you
Squashed tomatoes and stew
Bread and butter in the gutter
Happy birthday to you~!

And I absolutely love the eccentricity and just thorough STRANGENESS of it ❤ So I called her up on her birthday that year (whenever year that may be! 😛 ) and sang it to her! She laughed hysterically and she said she’d have to find a better one for my birthday. And so the tradition began :3

This is a super just us thing, though I have used this same BBC birthday song on other people, especially if I really consider them wonderful friends or wanna show them what they signed up to deal with when they became friends with me ^_^ Hee hee.

Anyhoo, I sang the song to my beloved Dreads on her birthday this year not too long ago, and even more recently, Ahlena’s birthday just passed and I wished her online because it was the weekend, but I did promise to wish her with a mini concert whenever I next saw her.

Which was only today! Unfortunately, she was late for class and even when I a third jokingly said I’d walk and sing for her anyways (two thirds compleeeetely serious, of course) (as I was latched onto her) she laughed and looked really embarrassed. Plus I wanted to find a new song specifically for her so I actually did let go.

So this is a small compilation of some birthday songs I find interesting that I found today on that search for a cutesy song I plan to sing to her after I sing a disastrously insane one 😀

I can’t believe I found this one before Ayesha, cuz it is PERRRRFECT for the magical spheres of snow that is me *O*

We Wish You a Very Merry Birthday
Oh We wish you a Very Merry Birthday
Oh We wish you a Very Merry Birthday
And We Hope Your Wish Comes True~

Here’s an one for my fellow impatient people waiting to dive into dat cake.

A candle on your cake,
blow it out for goodness sake
close your eyes and get thinking
of a wish you will make~

Now, I like the premise of this one, but I’m not so sure what the tune could be. I might just be reading it funny, but the syllable count seems a tad off to me :/

It’s my birthday soon
Would be over the moon
That I won a competition
For writing a tune~

Great tidings to me
when i win money
I’ll spend it at Amazon –
So happy I’d be~

To end on a happy note, this is the adorable one I found for her :3

Happy Birthday today,
May you eat, laugh and play.
May these flames be your worries
As you blow them away~!

And with that, I must perform some vocal excersizes.

[Disclaimer: I own none of these songs;they belong to their respective entities. Many, if not most, of the songs I posted today were found on this website, but be aware that I have no clue as to where these songs may have truly originated from or who their original creators/composers are.]

A Different Kind of Finals Week

Last week and this week are when the final episodes of the Autumn season of anime are being released. What kind of finals week were you expecting me to talk about?

Onwards to discussing in no particular order baqwaas/terrible endings. [Spoiler Alert!]

I Diabolik Lovers More Blood

Okay, so this anime short is a total guilty pleasure and I totally called what happened in its final when ranting to my brother about the show. Basically, there’s no plot the first season, so when somehow the show got a second season, the producers probably thought if they wanted  a third season, they’d better get started on some ideas for a plot. So at an attempt to have a story line, they threw in whatever they felt like, which ended up being too much to conclude in twelve episodes. So they just…didn’t. Yeah, the show ends with the Mukami and Sakamaki brothers sort of realizing that they need to work together to fix the second major conflict (which they don’t, so there might be hope/fear? for a third season).

II Dance with Devils

Man, this is definitely one of those anime that I categorize as so bad that it’s good. It’s so utterly terrible that even though its not at all intended to be watched for comedy, it does indeed entertain one with that genre in mind. This anime is a stereotypical demons versus vampire supernatural anime with musical numbers. Yes, you read that right. The characters spontaneously burst into song, complete with costume change and different settings. It’s wonderful.

It’s ending of course was as successful as its (nonexistent) seriousness to the plot. Ritsuka is saved, blah blah, time to get to the important part: Rem confesses to her and she confirms that the feeling’s mutual. Magically and suddenly, Lindo is totally cool with their relationship and decides that he will protect Ritsuka from afar, loving her continuously. But Rem then declares how now that there’s no Grimoire to chase after (yeah, it suddenly disappears after midnight. It’s not like everyone was desperately worrying about it for eleven episodes. No biggie.), he no longer has any reason to stay in the human world (um, Ritsuka?). So he invites Ritsuka to come live with him in the demon world (which she can cuz she have devil). Ritsuka must not question why Rem can’t just live with her, but must now choose between her world and his.

Plot twist/no surprise there after her episodal breakdowns about wanting to be human and living in the human world: she chooses to live as a human in the human world.

Rem leaves and she goes back to being a normal, boring human teenager (which she was told she could never become again since she was half demon but whatever).

The end.

III Star Mu/ High School Star Musical

More musicals! Also stamped with my its so bad its good label, Star Mu is the Free! (Iwatobi Swim club) of music. With less plot, less female characters, much more music, and unintended comedy, this show is a must watch if you can tolerate a bad anime and appreciate its failure.

It was the first musical anime I saw of this season (or ever, maybe?) and its spur of the moment musicals are, as Ayesha puts it, “next level”. I mean, when there’s a character riding a giant magical whale dolphin hybrid and singing, you know shit’s real.

And although I haven’t really discussed its lack of an ending, I’d really like to end on that magestic note. I mean, look at that picture. What more could you want in life? (Except a second season? Which they sorta implied, so fingers crossed? xD )

Quotes and Stuff from Yu-Gi-Oh! the Abridged Series

One of the most hilarious things ever. And here are a few pictures, jokes, and quotes from the series.

*Miiiind Cruuush*

This one picture summarizes these characters so well.

Bandit Keith’s Catch Phrase that make total sense.

I love the scene where Bandit Keith is telling his three henchmen to get lost and get off Duel Kingdom Island. He does so by saying to get out of America. And when they respond with the logical ‘this isn’t America’, he replies with “All countries belong to America!”. “…So how are we supposed to leave then?” “I don’t know!”

Joey’s trying reaaally hard to make it his thing.

Main character- he can get away with anything. When he cheats, he doesn’t.

Recall Bakura’s sad, sad past.

One does not simply forget the trauma of their father pouring boiling tea over one’s mother and asking “Why so British?!!” repeatedly.

Episode One- It lacked a lotta logic.

I gotta say…that’s a creepy smile, Kaiba O.o

Pew pew.

Suuuure.

And yet Bakura and Marak are constantly shipped together both in fan fictions and in this series. They are both characters portrayed to be gay-

As you can clearly see, Bakura isn’t very fond with admitting to it. He likes his British excuse.

I’m sure this is what it’s going to be like when I finally go back to watching the actual Yu-Gi-Oh! soon enough.

My sentiments exactly. And my face exactly too. Never would I have thought I’d have the same expression as the all handsome Duke Devlin =| =/ =P

Aaaand now I’m off to watch some more of the series :3

Go watch it 😀 Well, before I watched it on that other site I mentioned before, but it didn’t have any episodes after 35. I couldn’t find any, at least. So I started watching it on dailymotion.com. They’re available there, albeit with French Subs for some reason =P

But there nonetheless and funnyyy~

So now I poof to go watch it =)

Laterrr~

Crazy, Chocolate, and Cookies,
