Haikyuu! (Season 2 ep 24 & Season 3!)

Yes, you read that right- the third season of Haikyuu has a debut date! It’ll be coming out this fall (2016) anime season! Yaaaaaay!

It has been minutes since I finished the most recent episode from season 2, soooo (and yes, I realize I saw it a day after it came out, geez, but I wasn’t feeling too great then so I saved the hype for when I could better appreciate it. THANK GOSH.)

[Spoiler Alert!]

OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH

In Oikawa’s faaaaaace! You’re royal ass just got kicked by “the idiot duo” HAH. How do you like that, Your Highness? In your face, in your face, in your faaaace~ (I could do this all day.)

Oh my gosh, Johsai, your libero ticks me off so much. I wish Nishinoya had a fabulous moment in the spotlight and CRUSHED HIM UGH. It didn’t happen, but with the outcome of them BEATING JOHSAI SO THOROUGHLY WELL, I can let it slide.

Tsuki was also kinda ignored in this ep, but he did get to show off previously in the game, so that’s acceptable.

I’d also like to add how I no longer at all can ever hate Yamaguchi. Oh my gosh, even in the last few eps the drama and emotional blows he delivered with his serves were just- too much. And when he told Hinata he WOULD get ten points next time ugh- TOO MANY FEELS.

HINATA’S MURDER FACE IS BAAACK~ Y’all know what that means!!

AND speaking of Hinata- OH MY GOSH, that brilliant drop-in over the net toss and feint Hinata and Kageyama pulled off end of last ep/beginning of this one?! So great ❤

I don’t want this season to eeeeeend! Go on to nationals. Go on and KICK dat Japan logo wearing prick’s ass like it’s no big deal and then FLY. Just fly.

Never about to fall asleep because too pumped, too much hype, too much ecstacy, and too much damn excitement,

Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo/The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Okay, this was so unexpectedly DIFFERENT from what I thought it would be! I knew it was about time travel- I mean, who wouldn’t with that kind of title? Speaking of the title, Makoto figuring how to leap through time is just…

[Spoiler Alert! Not really, but the rest of the post is!]

her legit LEAPING all the time. I’m surprised she didn’t get all those bruises she got when she was trying to save Kousuke and Kaho (?) earlier with all the jumping she did.

(ALSO. They sort of never addressed that head on- how she tripped over some guy’s trainer when she was running down that hill. I mean, it’s obvious to infer that “some guy” is probably Chiaki, buuuuut he said he used up his last time travel charge to save them because a certain someone was crying with guilt. But he made her tumble too..? To save her from sacrificing herself?? Though she WAS way too far to do anything like that…I DON’T GET IT AND IT BUGS ME. It’s legit like the only discrepancy I notice with the time travel so far in this movie…)

I sort of found it annoying at first- how the art doesn’t seem to focus on the main characters. They’re all extraordinarily plain, but the backgrounds and different scenery are amaaaazingly detailed. It was unnerving and a little disliked in the beginning, but I kinda grew to like it. It makes the characters seem easier to understand and simpler, though they aren’t really. A bit more…honest almost.

This scene bugged me! I thought Makoto would time travel back and back and back and maybe eventually realize she liked Chiaki, then time travel back to this scene and just damn SAY YES.

But she doesn’t.

Mayyybe Chiaki being from the future had a little something to do with that. Just maybe.

I originally thought Makoto would learn her lesson with time traveling and use up her last time charge to leap back to the day that was super “unlucky” for her- which she edited to suuuuper lucky once she figured out how to control her leaps. You know, live out her life as she was supposed to that first time. With all the mishaps and disasters. Getting up late, not getting any pudding, cooking like me in her cooking class, but walk home instead of ride her bike. But they didn’t do anything like that, and it was evident after the scene where Makoto waited in the  science lab for whoever it was she saw that day.

Now, I thought the movie would interestingly have Yuri walk in like they did and make it seem that the person that shocked Makoto in the first place into time traveling was her from the future. But instead of having her realize that herself when no one showed up in that room, Yuri mentions once Makoto runs off how she did see someone on her way over to that science lab. Surprise, surprise, it was Chiaki.

And there you have it- it becomes blatantly obvious that Chiaki was- is- I don’t even know anymore- from the future.

(….what a bore.)

But it was kinda alright, sorta really emotional, and prettyyyy infuriating with THIS ENDING. And now I don’t know what to expect.

There was no amazing end credit scene in the future or anything. I reaaaally liked a lot of it. It did catch me off guard, got me to care and to cry, and got my interested. But it did annoy me with some aspects like Chiaki being from the future and actually going back once he had his time charge.

(Also, how did he time leap back so that Makoto and he had one last charge left AFTER they both used them up?? AND his device was broken??? MORE DISCREPANCIES AAAH)

AND THEY NEVER EXPLAINED THE PAINTING D:

So many questions. Such few answers. Absolutely no sequels. (Unless this pulls a pixar- since it very well HAS been ten years since it came out….)

Aight, I’ve procrastinated for a good five hours now. I should actually do my english essay now (ewwww).

Dying to Discuss- HxH ep 136

Juuust saw the HxH’s most recent episode. [Loaded with spoilers (for those that have not seen the episode).]

OH MAH GOSH. The hints, the character they reveal at the end, Killua and Gon, KITE, that ultra sad chimera ant story with the brother Kurt and Reina-chan’s ENDING- jsldkgjhalsdfkjslkjldfjlskj *-*

They ended that story about Kurt and Reina. I knew that little chimera ant was Reina, I just knew it~ But I was actually shedding tears when she was embraced by her mom. Her mom accepted her, and didn’t call her a monster. It was so touuuching ❤ Such a pleasant way to end that tragedy. The creators tied up their loose ends perfectly, and I commend them for it ^_^

Nooow, KITE. WHUT. That girl- the one the Queen died giving birth to- rejects her own name, and insists she’s “Kite” WHILE swinging a katana like sword. Her hair is even pretty similar to his, except her bangs, and the color, of course. Still. I loved how the M___ dude (the guy with the smoke, and sunglasses) literally ran, leaving his IV behind, to try and tell Gon and Killua of this. Awww.

Now, Gon and Killua themselves. I think their friendship just progressed a huuuge step. Killua has decided that he’s going to make Gon apologize for once! And he also put the situation into perspective. Yay for him! I loved how determined he was ❤ Buuut, that dead look in his eye when he looked at the Hide and Seek guy was the same as the time when he was disqualified from the HxH exam in the last stage. It was scary. And it made me think instantly that he’s going to use his family reputation, or contacts to try and save Gon. I don’t know why, but that was my instant response to seeing Killua like that.

The last scene too- where all the Zodiac gathered- you were shown the backs of a bunch of them we haven’t been introduced to yet. And it’s exciting. (They weren’t even silhouettes;you could actually see their clothes designs, color, hair, all that.) But most excitingly of all was whom they showed approaching the Zodiac- one of them himself. It was none other than Ging. He smiles, and then they played the ending song. Probably that one for the last time. Because…

New Arc Start!

[I was honestly very surprised to see that they were still playing the old chimer arc’s songs. But it was apt as they were tying things up in this episode. They just laid down a perfect introductional transition for the new arc. And I can’t wait till the next episode now~!]

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei- Discussion & Gushing on Episode VII

[Spoilers will be present in this post!]
You have been warned.

First thing to gush about- Ze Crimson Prince! (Ep VII- The Appearance of the Red Head)
From the most recent installment in Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei~

So this guy FINALLY goddamn had a cameo after SEVEN episodes of waiting for his badass arrival! All these red heads from this anime season are pretty awesome. Yeah, I’m talking to you, Sora ❤

But this is about THIS prince <333

Dat Blood Red Uniform.

I saw him in the theme song and instantly knew this guy was going to be my favorite character. I have hence been waiting desperately for his appearance in the show!

And after every disappointment so far, Alya and I plotted gruesome murders of the creators of this show because 1. Red Head wasn’t in the show yet, and 2. Tatsuya hasn’t shown us his epic fighting skills, not all of them, and not a single fight has occured that has pushed him to his limits.

But now that the Crimson Prince is here…that may change very, veryyy soon.

Especially since they just showed that this guy is from another magical high school, and a very…morbid? Realistic? Deathly? Dark? one at that.

I mean- Red Uniform. The first scene he’s shown in, he’s drenched in a pool of blood! That’s why his uniform is red, I tell ya =/

But, gooosh, they showed him next, in the shower- but course they didn’t show all of that, they just showed his wet feet, and then his wet head. But he was shown wrapped up in just a towel after that. Which was when he did a HAIR FLIP THINGIE. Damn.

He swooshed his hair back dramatically, discussing their rivals.

Rivals obviously being Tatsuya and Miyuki!

Ah, right, I said ‘their’. There was this little vampire Seedot present too. This shortay.

Shortie Vampire Seedot

And now, here’s a seedot for comparison’s sake.

Seedot (Pokemon, Gen II, I believe.)

Anyhoo, I think some background is needed.

Mr. Vampire Seedot and Cool Evil Villain were discussing the news of how there was a bomb attack at Mahouka Koukou (Tatsuya’s magic school.) and how it’s rumored to have been caused by terrorists (that was not the case at all, but just a cover up. It’s amazing how terrorists are used as a cover up story in a fictional story xD ). And that’s when Red Head asked if their ‘rivals’ were safe. Which they were. And that’s when the end credit thing scene ended with the appearance of the anime’s logo, exceeept it wasn’t the actual logo! It was in the same design, color, font, and everything, but it said something different. It said “Nine School Tournament.” Which implies that there may just be a contest between nine magic high schools and two confirmed schools participating would be Tatsuya’s and this Red Head’s! That would also make us audience fantasize about the fight scene between Tatsuya and Red Head in the theme song to occur in that next contest- when they both probably make it to some finals of a magic duel contest. Or something of the sort.

They both have guns too ❤

Now one last picture before I move on…

Proceed to drool?

Now, other stuff that must be addressed in this episode!

1. The appearance of the Evil Yotsuba Aunt;

So her face is revealed to us after seeing just a quick glance at her physique when Tatsuya and Miyuki were discussing her some three episodes back. She looks so MUCH like Miyuki! Her hair does, as does her facial features- but those EYES. So evil, and neon PURPLE. Mesmerizing, and yet the kind of eyes that send shivers down your spine. The kind you know it’ll be a very bad move to get on the wrong side of, and to anger. Those kind of eyes.

Pluus she mentioned how Tatsuya’s Miyuki’s guardian. And on hearing that a few theories and ideas popped into my head.

One, Tatsuya’s actually a few years older than Miyuki, a twenty year old, and was adopted to protect her and serve as her body guard. I don’t think this is the case, but something else it, since the age difference isn’t something I expect from this anime, nor something I can see them doing.

Yet this is what I think happened. Two, Tatsuya’s as old as he’s portrayed to be, yet joins the military for whatever family reasons at a very young age. After proving his aptitude with his fighting magic, and sheer intelligence, he ascends the ranks at an alarming speed. It’s then when the Yotsuba family realize they need a body guard for Miyuki, possibly after a breech in security or an attack attempt/assassination attempt on her. Either way, they are somehow directed towards hiring one from the army, and after finding out about Tatsuya’s age and his skill, they adopt him.

They then, three, either decide that it’d be safest for Miyuki to go into hiding- no, wait. I think Miyuki herself decides this with Tatsuya after falling for him, and they run away, trying to hide their strong affiliations with this family, and to try having normal lives.

Or four, Tatsuya convinces the family that it’d be in the best intrest of the family if they let him take care of Miyuki by himself, away from the family, and under the pretense that she isn’t an ojou-sama.

Either way, they end up together, living a life their own, until now, where the Yotsuba family is thinking of intervening…

AND- that does however confirm one thing to me. The two really aren’t related. Or at least, that’s my theory.

2. Tatsuya finally acted awkward!

Near the end, he put his hand on Miyuki’s lower back. And he did so suuuper awkwardly to me. I thought he was going to put his arm around her waist, but he just didn’t. Too romantic? Perhaps…But then in the next scene, he  was directing her to walk away with him, and so I though he should’ve done so by putting his  hand on her upper back, on her shoulder blade region. Very normal. Usually a very authoritative and protective thing to do- not romantic. But he didn’t. Even attempting to grab her ass would’ve been more normal! (And he would’ve swooned.) But he just rested his entire hand on her lower back instead. What a Casanova.

3. This anime stole my AAA! Or at least copied it! =Y

They stole my AAA- The Awesome Asian Alliance- and made a carbon copy of it as the “Great Asian Alliance”. Pfft, the GAA. Grr. It’s MY super hero league, not yours! Damn them.

4. I sort of forgive them.

Not for stealing my League’s name. Nuh-uh. But for making us wait so looong for an epic fight sequence involving Tatsuya at his best. Granted, he wasn’t at his best, but he still actually used his gun to shoot someone, and more than ONCE.

Plus there was loads of cool swords action from Kirihara, the Magic Kendo Club Capt. I seriously forgave them just because I prefer the sword action over the guns.

And that brings me to a discussion, an announcement that is about another anime.

On second thought, I’ll just post that as a seperate post so as not to merge these two different anime together.

Be back soon~
