Ever since my dearest dear Sparkly Bracelet Swatch, I’ve never had a fixed daily worn watch (semi including Ammi’s red metal Swatch hand me down that lasted me two years).
It was this gorgeous silver and sparkly watch that looked like a bracelet. It had those clear beads that were practically prisms with how many teeny tiny rainbows they broke all the light that passed through them into.
LOL. It’s name’s apparently First Romance
I loved it! And wore it for a good three or four years before the bracletty strap finally broke and the beads went flying everywhere. (Still had it repaired and wore it for another three to four months before the OTHER side broke D: ) Anyhoo, it was retired and it took me forever to finally pick out another swatch to replace it with.
It had to be neutral. It had to be silver ish. It had to be- fancy fabulous.
Now that I look back on it- I NEVER picked out a swatch- no, wait, I did.
Silver. Pinkish. A bit of detailing, but not nearly as ostentatious as the first one. But neutral for me. Too tiny for my taste now, but I apparently liked the thought of a dainty watch back then.
I can’t find an actual picture of it, but it looked a BIT like this. Less pink.
It had the same inner dial thingie!
I was even considering this one, but it was too similar to my old one.

Anyhoo, that’s it for my old swatch indecisiveness. Here’s my take on metal preferences now~
Sooo the deal with me and which colored metals I wore.
It’s basically silver versus gold, even thought there are so many other metallic colors now.
Back then, it was always silver. Silver rings, watch, earrings, all that. It had to be silver if it was concerning jewelry. I viewed gold as an “aunty” color for the longest of times. I couldn’t wear golden watches one BIT. Nor was I particularly fond of any other jewelry being gold either.
But now, years later, as I’m older, and matured just a tad, gold is the fabulous metal, and I love it. Yo, mah bling is gold man. #BlingBling
Although my sudden acceptance of gold is great and all, my current preference, especially concerning watches, would be rose gold. That pinkish golden color.
It’s gorgeous! And now I want, and am sorta already picking out a rose gold watch 🙂
There’s this one from Claire’s that Ayesha got at Budapest after I pushed her to.
Such bling and bedazzledness.
She wasn’t so sure about it, and I was originally going to buy it, but the curse with me and Claire’s on that trip was that every time I visited that store, I had already dropped most of that day’s money shopping! So I didn’t have enough to buy it then -____-
So I pushed Ayesha to get it, and she did. Now I’m considering getting it too.
But there’s this one I like a bit better at the moment, thought originally I was equally indecisive as which to get.
Still bling, pink, and GREY.
I like the random grey stripe through the strap, and the dial’s design intrigues me more than the other classical dudesy dial thing. Especially since none of those three tiny dial things even WORK >.> I don’t like the idea of those fake ones being on it if they haven’t any functionality.
Plus, with the grey, if I do decide to wear silver with this it’ll go better than having all silver jewelry and a completely rose gold chunky watch on.
I’m not sure yet. And who knows if I’m even getting these? I’d have to get them shipped from the UK, and I’m not sure if I’m up to pay the additional delivery charges =P
