A Preview of Ze Yet to Come

Sooo….I was supposed to post about the House Cup today, and the Battle of the Sexes that happened today.

But I’m too tired. I was going to do it anyways, buuuut

Then I got into a heated debate with Kamil, because he hugely insulted and offended me.

So I’m in a bad mood.

So…tomorrow? Yeah, tomorrow.

SOrry. Blame Kamil.

Ze “Carnival of Cocoas” & A Rant on Mah Umbrella

So it pooouuured today, and it was wonderful. (Haha, Spring still isn’t here yet!)

Although yesterday was fantabulously wonderous!! It was raining, I had my fab ombre umbrella spinning round and round, while singing, and shimmying my way up and down the terrace. Singing loudly, of course. And, let me impress y’all with my multitasking skills, I was also texting my bro, Kamil.

Anyhoo, my umbrella died today =( After using it yesterday, I left it open in the shade on the terrace, and thought I’d just fold it up in the morning before heading out to school in case it rained today (which it did. A lot.).

Buut because I slept in today, I completely forgot and left it there. Ooh, what did Mother Nature do to my happy and bright umbrella in eight hours? Nothing. It wasn’t Mother Nature that did it. It was simply Mother.

My mom hastily wrapped up my umbrella, possibly while blindfolded, and broke four metal rods that kept the umbrella in shape. I came home to find it completely retarded and the closest thing resembling a star. I tinkered with it for around fifteen minutes and fixed it for the most part, but there’s still one rod that won’t bend the right way. It’s a small abnormality, but it still functions.

But it bothers me the most, that out of all the practical things I get from my trip to Budapest, Hungary, my mom still manages to meddle to the point where she ruins even an umbrella. And it’s not like you can get decent umbrellas here either.

Grr. If everyone’s got a fatal flaw, my mother’s is her Over Efficiency. And I hate it with a passion. A burning passion. Think Heathcliff’s love for Catherine. (#WH)

So anywaaays…It rained a lot, and the sunny days are gone for a while. It’s all cold and drizzle like at the moment.

The perfect time to search up some recipes for warming you from the inside out drinks!

And hence the title. A Carnavil of Cocoas. Sounds so brilliant ❤

But the credit doesn’t go to me, it goes to the owner of this coffee infused and obsessed recipe blog I found on my quest, Sugarbeanbakers.blogspot.com!

Proving I have the Best Timing

Now, as many of you may know, I am a Timelord. I can time travel, and yes, I do own my very own TARDIS. But that’s not what I’m here to discuss today. What I will be discussing is telling a story of my amazing Timelord Timing.

Yesterday, I went out shopping with Hadia, my mom, dad and Rida. We went to check out this sale at Mothercare for baby stuff, and during all this, I was texting Kamil. We were just talking and all, the usual stuff, I was teasing him about being superman, he was talking about how much shit I’ll have to put up with next year, that sort  of stuff. Then, we, as in my family, decided to go to Subway (it was predecided and the true reason I had come along =3 ).

We enter the store, and bam! There’s Kamil, standing in line, right in front of us. He even texted me there and then, inside the store, “funny world”. Oh, you have no idea.

And this was the first weekend after the play, so I didn’t want my parents to be reminded of that, and Kamil, being awesomely paranoid, pretended not to know me. It worked, and boy was that great. (I would’ve gotten into a loot more trouble.)

It was also a total plus that my dad didn’t recognize him either. I told Kamil that it must have been the Clark Kent effect. (During the play he wasn’t wearing his glasses, but today he was.) So my dad didn’t recognize him cuz of that. It’s the only rational explanation.

Either way, it was super funny to me, and I barely kept a straight face in the store at the time. I don’t even know why, I just found it hilarious.

So yeah, that’s what went down yesterday. Besides which, I spent the entire day reading Fairytail. Yes, reading. I started the manga. I don’t know why I’m even reading it. The animation pains me. I blame Zaid. And he knows it too. Huzzah.

Oops, I gotta poof now.

Laterr!

MovieReview (not really)- The Incredibles (2004)

images (6)

Just throwing it out there that I have FINALLY watched The Incredibles. Yay. Yes, I am goddamn sixteen and I JUST saw the Incredibles in the year 2014, ten whole years after it came out. I just…never saw it as a child. I don’t know why, I just never did.

[My parents have never been keen on us kids watching Western movies, and they rarely took us out out to watch them. So unless they were aired on Cartoon Network, I most likely haven’t seen it, or if I have, I moved here and watched it either online, or on dvd. Go Asia!]

I LURVVE Edna ❤ She is totally hilarious. I wish I could see what kind of super hero SHE was, back in the day….

images (5)

So yeah. I saw it. And I absolutely loved it! I wish I’d seen it sooner. But it was amazing ❤ I’m not gonna review it properly, but just say it makes it to my TimelessMovies list. Done and done.

Totally a classical super hero movie ❤

RandomTip- Dealing with Hairspray

Hairspray would be a girl’s best friend. If it was easy to get out the next day, and NOT make your hair super stiff to the point where you can’t run your fingers through it, let alone brush it….And that is why it’s a frienemy.

But that’s not important right now. Have you ever curled your hair, then sealed it all off with a load of hairspray, or perhaps used it to keep down flyaways, or just to keep it all in place (for loads of dancing, or a fancy evening out, or whateverrr)?

Well, I know I have. Not much, or often, or even at all, if I can help it. It’s just a total pain, and a much worse one trying to wash it out!

But for the annual school play, I wasn’t allowed to follow my own rules, and hence had to put up with stage make up (sooo much more than I actually would ever wear anywhere) and curling my hair (apparently, it was a crime back in the sixteenth century to have had dead straight hair =Y ).

Aaaand they put hair spray in my hair. The next day, I took a shower, and it still didn’t come out! (I didn’t shampoo that day, because I had the day prior, but either way, my hair was all tangled up.)

Sooo I experimented a bit, and found a simple way to get hairspray out of your hair. Just put some oil in your hair, sleep with it in after your night of partying, and just wash your hair in the morning. Your hair will feel so amazingly healthy afterwards, you won’t even realize you had to endure icky hairspray in it for as many hours as you did!

It worked great with me, and even after I put the oil into my hair- oils like olive oil, or coconut oil- I was able to greatly detangle/untangle my hair since it had become super smooth, and greasy, and, well, oily.

Anyways, hope this helps with keeping your hair healthy and yet still being able to do some fancier hair stuff every now and then =)

Buh bye now!

Arthur’s Theme Song Lyrics

I loved this cartoon when I was a kid back in the States, Arthur, on PBS Kids. And one day last week I had the song “Library Card” song and that’s when I went on a search to listen to it.

Arthur-pbs-kids

(Having fun isn’t hard when you have a library card!!)

Which I did, here, on the actual PBS Kids website. You can listen to these songs from the show, like Lucky Pencils, the Crazy School Bus, and the UFO Song. And of course…The theme song!!

(Although it did have some errors in it, so I typed my own lyrics out. That I got by typing out what was said when I listened to the song. About three times, so as not to mess it up..)

And so, Imma post the lyrics for the theme song. Which, now that I listen to the song, is suuuper motivational, and perfectly perfect for raising kids. And when I sang the song for Ayesha (who hadn’t really watched the show as a kid) said it really explained the way I turned out =P

Arthur

The Arthur Theme Song

Every day when your walking down the street,
And everybody that you meet
Has an original point of view.

And I say Hey- Hey!
What a wonderful kind of day
If we could learn to work and play,
And get along with each other.

You gotta listen to your heart,
Listen to the beat,
Listen to the rhythm,
The rhythm of the street.
Open up your eyes,
Open up your ears.
Get together and make things better
By working together.

It’s a simple message,
and it comes from the heart.
Oh, believe in yourself,
for that’s the place to start.

And I say Hey- Hey!
What a wonderful kind of day,
if we could learn to work and play,
and get along with each other!

You gotta listen to your heart,
Listen to the beat,
Listen to the rhythm,
The rhythm of the street.
Open up your eyes,
Open up your ears.
Get together and make things better
By working together.

It’s a simple message,
and it comes from the heart.
Oh, believe in yourself,
for that’s the place to start.

And I say Hey- Hey!
What a wonderful kind of day,
if we could learn to work and play,
and get a long with each other!- Hey!

What a wonderful kind of day,
if we could learn to work and play,
and get along with each other!- Hey!

What a wonderful kind of day- Hey!
What a wonderful kind of day- Hey!

Well, that’s it, and I hope you enjoyed it. And found it awesome. If only kids listened to this kind of stuff once they could understand the lyrics better…instead of raps and other kinds of loud music all the time =/

Wouldn’t that be a change for the better?

Permanent Nicknames

I have many nicknames. To list even all of them would be a tidious task. And yet here are but a few.

Frostie, Wattson, Dr. Grey I. Wattson, Ze, The Mint Chutney, Maud, Maudlal, Sunny, Sunny Bro, 003, Bee to the Live, Beelive Buddy, Bashir Sahab, and many others besides.

And yet I realize now, that if I do move back to Chicago, a vast majority of these nicknames will be lost to me, since the people I will then interact with in my daily life won’t be calling me by them anymore. Stuff that have to do with my actual name might still be there, but other things like the Bee to the Live, or Maud won’t and those will only be used if I explain the jokes behind them to my new friends. So, I will be loosing a small part of me…But to me, it’s a BIG part of me.

I can only hope that my weirdness shall be accepted by at least a few, and some nick names will be sustained. Like my middle name being Irish. Like my nicknames Wattson, and Frostie. If those things are sustained, I’ll be fine.

And pshaw, it’s not like you can’t call me The Mint Chutney. I’m a super hero for crying out loud. It ain’t a nick name. It’s an identity.

And with that, I poof. I feel better about it. Even if no one is calling me Maud, or Ze, or Sunny Bro, I always will be. It’s on the inside, in my heart. Like my Beelive rings are when I’m too lazy to put them on =P Beelive!

Cuz all I got to do is beliiieeve in me, Pokemon!! (Pokemon Master Quest Theme Song)

[I also changed my fb alternate name from Wattson to Frostie for the moment. Not sure if it’s a permanent change, or change just for the heck of it. I just want to be recognized as Frostie more. Since I am. And what with this Olaf thing going around too…I’m the first magical snowman, got it?!]

Nominated and Jammin’ Out to Bohemian Rhapsody

So today I got a very nice and official TEXT informing me that I had in fact been freakin’ nominated for being the next Head Girl of the Prefects!! Which, in my school, is the same thing as being the Student Body President (the girl one. We have two, one girl, and one guy.) EEEK!

I’m going to post the entire text now, since it’s on my cell, I may one day accidentally delete it. If only it had been an email I could star or something…

Dear Student (yup, generic little lazy head just put student so he could mass text this to all the nominees, I’m sure.),
This is to inform you that you have been nominated for the position of Head Boy/ Head Girl (see? Confirming my suspicions now…Totally lazy!) next year by the admin and current student council. Your interview is scheduled at 10.15 amon Thursday 20th March 2014 in the Auditorium. Please make a note, and confirm your availability.
Regards,
Alishan *his last name*
(Current) Head Boy

So yaaaay =D I can’t wait. So far, I know that Armeen (evil dumb blonde that I hate), and Amna/Hallam have also been nominated for the same position. I think I’ve got the greatest chances of getting the job, and that’s why I’m insanely excited. Even if I don’t get it, I hope Armeen doesn’t, and Amna does. She’d be soo much better at it than Armeen, her royal ickyness.

Plus, what with debates and other public speaking, and even active participation in drama I think I have an edge in verbal things like an interview.

The fact that I take an interest in so many other activities besides would only add to my awesomeness as Head Girl. Something that Armeen and Amna don’t really have.

But I was reaaaally concerened that they weren’t even going to consider me, since I may move this Summer, but it’s not confirmed, but looks like I needn’t have worried! Plus, there’s a chance I may also be nominated for the position of Head of the Drama Society.

When we were discussing it earlier last week, Ammar pointed at me when asked who should head it next year, and I felt so pleasantly surprised and complemented, I wanted to hug him to the point where he’d think I fancied him. (Hahahaha, no, never happening =P )

But if Kamil, by pseudo-brother, suggests Faiza for the post, I will lose all respect for him, plot his demise, and disown him. I mean, Faiza is his friend, for some retarded reason, but still, if he puts her in charge of the Drama Society, he’d basically be giving her a circus to man herself. And she can’t juggle, nor swallow fire. So the crowd won’t be amused. Ammar and Shayan are with me when I say we’d rather quit attending Theatre if Faiza becomes the head next year.

The girl is suuper self obsessed, finds and tries her hardest to steer conversation towards her, something that happened to her, something that happened to someone she knew, or something she’s done, or anyyything concerning her. She is also obsessed with trying to make it very clear to everyone how childlike she is, which irks me greatly since I’M the kid. She’s shorter than me, and is completely flat-chested, so yeah, she wins with a more child like body, but her mind is so deep in the gutter, it’s an insult to kids to say she’s childlike at all. Maybe a modern child that swears, and plays Call of Duty a lot she could compare herself to successfully…

Oh, and today Zaid and Ammar kept playing Bohemian Rhapsody, the Queens song, a lot at school, and we kept singing it all day long. It was awesome. We were jamming to it soo much =3 It was pretty cool. And then it got stuck in my head, so I had to listen to it at home too =P

Well, I better study now for that huuuge Chemistry test I’ve got on ALL of Organic Chemistry that I still haven’t touched because of the play…

Ze Simplest Apple Cider Recipe

Today it was rainy, windy, and then for a few hours, suuuuper sunny, then night fell, and it became wonderfully windy and cold again.

images (4)

^[Now this is just beautiful ❤ This is the kind of color my cider is =) ]

Now, I’m from Chicago, the windiest city of all, and I MISS the powerful winds that sway skyscrapers, and fwoosh all your hair off your back and shoulders into the air (or if your lucky, or your hairs just that short, into the skyyy).

images (5)

^[ Even a color like this has popped up if I use a bit too much cinnamon- how Daddy Dearest likes it =3 ]

Today it was that windy for just a brief moment, but I felt completely satisfied by it. And so I thought of home back there. The orange, bronze, and gold leaves I associate with such Autumny winds, and with that orange scheme came pumpkins, pumpkin pie, halloween, and then, apples.

cider

^[ Ok, so mine isn’t anywhere near as light as this one, but I think this is the kind of color you’d get if you dilute it a lot with water and if you don’t add too much cinnamon.]

So I thought, hey, this is the perrrrfect weather for some apple cider! But I’d never made it before, and only had this fake copy thing here, so I wasn’t entirely sure how it was supposed to taste. But, I just through together what I thought would taste good together, and whatever felt Autumn and fell into that color scheme.

[note- this is NOT what you should be doing, especially if you are a chemist. Just google a simple recipe- it ain’t that hard. I’m just weird, and I came out with a great cup of yummy warm goodness, so just let it sliiide ^_^ ]

Ingredients-
1 cup/mugful of Apple juice (I used Nestle’s because I love it’s crisp taste, and color.)
1 teaspoon of Honey (I used this brilliant German brand I’m obsessed with at the moment, flavored Forest Honey, that had a gorgeous hue of gold to it.)
A dash of Cinnamon/1 Cinnamon stick

Serving- One cup, or for one person.

Now, this recipe is veryyy flexible. Just add more cinnamon if you like a stronger bite to your drink, or if you don’t want it too sweet. If you like it suuuper sweet, then add more honey, or use a sweet juice like I am. (My mom hates it sweet, so for her, I add about 1 parts water, and 2 parts apple juice instead to dilute it.)

Directions-
I Turn on your stove, and pour in apple juice into a pot. Let it heat on a low-ish medium flame.

II Get a teaspoon of honey, and try mixing it in to the apple juice. I say try because it takes a bit of determination and stirring to get it to slide off the spoon entirely and dissolve into the juice.

III Add your cinnamon. I usually sprinkle in just a bit, but enough to cover the entire surface of the juice lightly before I stir it in. If you don’t have powdered/another verb that begins with a g- grinded? ground? Yup, it’s ground.- cinnamon, just add your stick of cinnamon to the cup/mug instead.

IV Now just pour out your deliciously Fall drink into an apt mug, and enjoy!

Optional- Drink while reading a good book. What’s the point in making a warm drink to enjoy, if you aren’t enjoying it in cold weather, and with a book?

Cooking for the Cursed/Kitchen-Challenged. And of course, it’s Ali Approved =3

Taste the Autumn!

Don’t blow up that microwave again!

ps.
What can I say, Marv the Microwave doesn’t like me =(
And I haven’t blown him up in at least a year and a half now, so yeah, I’m getting better at my experiments now ^_^

The Twin Theory

[Get in my TARDIS with me, as we will now time travel to the 25th of Feb, when this post was first written, and then back to the present, where it was finished.]

There’s some weird saying type thingie that I’ve heard loads of people say- that everyone has an evil twin somewhere.

Now, that might be probable with how many people there are alive on the planet right now. It needn’t even be someone alive- one of the twins could’ve died a long time ago.

Regardless, I’m not saying I believe that saying (I don’t), but there is a theory on twins that I believe and came up with.

In Isloo, everyone has a twin. And the twins? They all live in Isloo too! Which is what makes Isloo so damn awesome.

Although they aren’t twins a hundred percent. There will be at least ONE thing that the original twin you know would never do or wear or have. Like, I saw a Sir Haroon Twin today. He had a bushy beard like Ted Mosby’s hair when he was at uni.

Kind of like in himym, where there were the dopplegangers that looked like the rest of the gang members, but were different in at least one huge way.

I also saw Sir Usman (the economics sir?) Twin riding a rad motorbike. On my way to school. I thought it WAS him.

But some are just too twiny. Ayesha’s met Sullie/Sana’s, I’ve met Ayesha’s and so many others too.

It’s the best kind of pick-me-up. Seeing someone you know do something they NEVER would. Yet, it isn’t them, it’s their twin. Dun dun duuuun.

I once say Sir Haroon (the “guidance” counselor dude, plus the English Language teacher.)’s twin too. He had a BEARD that reminded me of Santa’s. Not AS long, but, maaan, was it bushy. And poofy. It spread all around his face, neck and even some of his shirt. I wasn’t sure what colored shirt he even had on (jacket covered the sleeves, and the front was obscured by the beard.).

So yeah- everyone living in this here city has a twin- that also lives in the same city. And that’s what makes life so much fun here.

I hope I meet my Twin before I move =)

[Small thing on my Twin- I have two “twinys”. Once is Maham Cheema’s younger sister, Eman, who shares the same birthday with me. Believe me, this has been torture through out our childhoods. We really hated each other =P And then there’s Faiz who once said his birthday is also on the same date as mine. Yay?]

So that’s the Twin Theory. Limited to this city only. Otherwise, can you imagine the amount of twins? Gosh, and that too is excluding actual twins by birth…yowzah, that’s a looot of twins…

If only the Hitachin twins were there too =Y

*poof*
