Mall Shopping Spree with Rubab: Vlogging Adventure

Remember how when Rubab first landed in America a few weeks ago in the middle of Ramadan, she invited me out to an outlet mall in the city to go shopping? Well, we decided that wasn’t enough time for us to hang out, so I invited her over to my place so I could drive her out to the mall nearby today.

After a looot of negotiating, we finally set up our plan to meet up at the mall and to hang out there until we were ready to come back to my place. (I was hoping to get some pokemon go catching in there too, but I didn’t manage to 😦 )

Sooo I drove out the van there and we met up. We did loads of shopping in H&M, Charlotte Russe, Charming Charlie, and visited some others like Forever 21, and Books a Million too.

Rubab didn’t do that much shopping, because she thought she wouldn’t wear cool stuff like dresses in Pakistan much -___- boring. She did most of her shopping for gifts for other people. And speaking of gifts for people back home, she had promised she would vlog us hanging out at the mall, so that’s exactly what we did. And I have to say, it was really fun! I got the footage from her once she’d left, and it was really fun to watch us goofing off on camera xD The only problem of listening to yourself recorded is having to hear your own voice, ew. But anyways, I realized I totally had enough confidence to vlog in public and it was a really enjoyable thing to do~ I’m glad I tried it out.

Besides that, the family at home needed the van to go to a BBQ, so I dragged Rubab home and we chilled out here, recording a haul video and also experimenting with some buys such as my eyeshadow palette and Rubab’s hair doughnut. Mid make up tutorial however, Rubab’s ride showed up and we had to say bye. Again. Ugh, good byes stiiiiink. I just really hope I get to fly back soon to visit. I miss my friends ❤

Mini MovieReview: Finding Dory

Years later, after the most amazing movie Finding Nemo, Pixar announces a Finding Dory. And I don’t know what to do. Should I be crazy ecstatic this is happening? But what if they mess it up? What if this is another out of ideas idea where there are unnecessary sequels??

So many worries. So many expectations. So many fears.

But going in to watch it yesterday with Zahra, Asma, Musfirah, her cousin, Ambereen, Hadia, Haniya, and Mehreen, I am very glad to say:

It was everything I could have ever hoped for. Not even five minutes into the movie, I was bawling my eyes out. Through out the movie, I cried. It was just such an emotional movie for me to watch.

But it was just perfect ❤

From A Walk in the Park to Finding Nemo

Mother Nature’s been having quite some mood swings this winter, but she finally calmed down enough that it was above the freezing point of water (how’s that neutrality? Neither celsius or the icky one….so much for neutral.)

Anyhoo, since the weather was great, my mom thought to drag us out to a forest preserve for a lovely walk, but in the end, some guests stayed suuuper long, and we lost all sunlight hours. Because there weren’t any lights up in the preserve, we decided to go for a walk downtown because fairy lights and fun ❤

We walked through the park, and found some gorgeous mason jars decorated with different laces glowing with candles inside. It was beautiful and totally instagram wothy! How to explain pretty in the age of apps :3

We walked on, but when we were making our way back to the car and retracing our steps, my dad actually questioned why they were put there, and I said it could be a memorial or something. But then we found one on the floor, and I thought someone had knocked one over, but once we got closer, we could see it was placed there on purpose.

There was a flower (hint, hint) and a note too, which I read it. Some stuff about this being the final clue and how it’s a good one- “will you be my valentine?”

Someone had gone out of their way to set up a riddles clue hunt through the park to ask someone out for Valentine’s! Totally adorable and hilariously movie cliched, but awww.

Anyhoo, besides that, I kinda stole someone’s hot chocolate order from Starbucks (our orders got mixed up and I only realized after I tasted it and got my pink lipstick all over the top of the container…so I just sorta walked out of the store quickly. With Que in tow xD “Don’t make eye contact, but I think I just stole that guys hot chocolate.” Oopsies.) Well, we both had ordered hot chocolate, so yeah…

Sooo we walked some more, and found this store with a fish tank out on display. I saw a Dori and a Nemo in it (yes, those are the fishes names. Not clownfish, or any of that nonesense- Nemo. His name is Nemo. Or Marlin.), which I obviously exclaimed out loud and pointed towards. Ridz then was hooked and barely budged from in front of the display after that xD

Whiiiich lead my dad to suggest we watch Finding Nemo when we got home. And that’s basically how I spent my Saturday night besides calc homework and some ridiculous “coding” for CS.

(Though there was this jellyfish that at first looked like it sorta had a spider web stuck to it which turned out to be a string! We were appalled that it looked like someone had deliberately tied up the poor thing! But then with our noses pressed up to the glass we saw it was made of plastic and a fake jellyfish- er, yeah 😛 )

Nooow time to watch some brilliant Haikyuu then bed time :3

MovieReview (not really)- The Incredibles (2004)

images (6)

Just throwing it out there that I have FINALLY watched The Incredibles. Yay. Yes, I am goddamn sixteen and I JUST saw the Incredibles in the year 2014, ten whole years after it came out. I just…never saw it as a child. I don’t know why, I just never did.

[My parents have never been keen on us kids watching Western movies, and they rarely took us out out to watch them. So unless they were aired on Cartoon Network, I most likely haven’t seen it, or if I have, I moved here and watched it either online, or on dvd. Go Asia!]

I LURVVE Edna ❤ She is totally hilarious. I wish I could see what kind of super hero SHE was, back in the day….

So yeah. I saw it. And I absolutely loved it! I wish I’d seen it sooner. But it was amazing ❤ I’m not gonna review it properly, but just say it makes it to my TimelessMovies list. Done and done.

Totally a classical super hero movie ❤

Arthur’s Theme Song Lyrics

I loved this cartoon when I was a kid back in the States, Arthur, on PBS Kids. And one day last week I had the song “Library Card” song and that’s when I went on a search to listen to it.

Arthur-pbs-kids

(Having fun isn’t hard when you have a library card!!)

Which I did, here, on the actual PBS Kids website. You can listen to these songs from the show, like Lucky Pencils, the Crazy School Bus, and the UFO Song. And of course…The theme song!!

(Although it did have some errors in it, so I typed my own lyrics out. That I got by typing out what was said when I listened to the song. About three times, so as not to mess it up..)

And so, Imma post the lyrics for the theme song. Which, now that I listen to the song, is suuuper motivational, and perfectly perfect for raising kids. And when I sang the song for Ayesha (who hadn’t really watched the show as a kid) said it really explained the way I turned out =P

Arthur

The Arthur Theme Song

Every day when your walking down the street,
And everybody that you meet
Has an original point of view.

And I say Hey- Hey!
What a wonderful kind of day
If we could learn to work and play,
And get along with each other.

You gotta listen to your heart,
Listen to the beat,
Listen to the rhythm,
The rhythm of the street.
Open up your eyes,
Open up your ears.
Get together and make things better
By working together.

It’s a simple message,
and it comes from the heart.
Oh, believe in yourself,
for that’s the place to start.

And I say Hey- Hey!
What a wonderful kind of day,
if we could learn to work and play,
and get along with each other!

You gotta listen to your heart,
Listen to the beat,
Listen to the rhythm,
The rhythm of the street.
Open up your eyes,
Open up your ears.
Get together and make things better
By working together.

It’s a simple message,
and it comes from the heart.
Oh, believe in yourself,
for that’s the place to start.

And I say Hey- Hey!
What a wonderful kind of day,
if we could learn to work and play,
and get a long with each other!- Hey!

What a wonderful kind of day,
if we could learn to work and play,
and get along with each other!- Hey!

What a wonderful kind of day- Hey!
What a wonderful kind of day- Hey!

Well, that’s it, and I hope you enjoyed it. And found it awesome. If only kids listened to this kind of stuff once they could understand the lyrics better…instead of raps and other kinds of loud music all the time =/

Wouldn’t that be a change for the better?
